Middletown Democrats, Asbury Park Press Follow MMM’s Lead In Endorsing Pallone

Following the lead of MoreMonmouthMusings, the Middletown Democrats and the Asbury Park Press have endorsed Congressman Frank Pallone for the Democratic nomination to complete the term of the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg.

MMM, the first website in the world to endorse Pallone for the Senate nomination, did so on June 25 because the congressman asked publisher Art Gallagher for help, because Gallagher believes the Republican nominee, likely to be former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan, stands a better chance against Pallone than against Newark Mayor Cory Booker, and most importantly, a vacancy in Pallone’s 6th district congressional seat would be fantastic for MMM’s web traffic.  Our advertisers would love it!

The Middletown Dems say they endorsed Pallone because he “did the best he could” on a variety of issues.  In reality, they are hoping for money from Pallone to fund races even porn distributors are taking a pass on.

The Asbury Park Press endorsed Pallone, even though they say, “Voters can’t go wrong, no matter which way they lean in this primary, ” because they hope hometown Pallone will spend some advertising dollars, drive up newsstand sales and website visits.

All three endorsements come down to money.  Only MMM will admit that.  We like money and we need it!  Go Frank Go!

I understand that the Chairman of the Middletown Democrats has even offered his talents for stealing campaign signs for Pallone.

  2. Donny Dee said at 7:51 pm on August 4th, 2013:

Frank is political roadkill. Rush Holt will win the primary because he’s the only one who advertises on liberal blogs, and the readers of those blogs are the only ones who will bother to turnout.

  3. Tom Stokes said at 8:21 pm on August 4th, 2013:

At least Rush Holt voted against the National Spying Agency and for our Fourth Amendment rights in Congress the other day (along with Congressman Chris Smith).

Congressman Pallone couldn’t even decide which way to vote and didn’t show up to cast a vote.

  4. where is the tea party??? said at 9:56 pm on August 4th, 2013:

Art, where’s babs and her 5 man band? they were quite vocal during the Republican primary in June and Frank is on TV claiming he defeated them to save social security….so why are they so quiet???

You should give babs a call and ask if she’ll be endorsing Frank as well.

I look forward to find out who Barbara Gonzalez and the Citizen Patriots over at the Bayshore Tea Party Group are going to support. I’m supporting the Libertarian candidate Ken Kaplan for Governor, and Dr. Alieta Eck for US Senate. I will not vote for Joe Kyrillos or any of his running mates for the way they disrespected Leigh Ann Bellew and her running mates.

  6. @shlomo said at 8:05 am on August 5th, 2013:

Support who you want, but Leigh Ann Bellew & her running mates deserved to be disrespected.

They were totally unprepared. They and the rag tag BSTPG, along with Babs are morons.

I’ll give you where’s the Tea Party. Did you see Pallone’s new disgraceful ad? He says he saved SS from the Tea Party. It’s cheap shot BS deceit time in the Pallone campaign. HEY FRANK, MANY TEA PARTY FOLKS ARE ON SOCIAL SECURITY. So Frank has a campaign ad grossly distorting the Tea Party and then Friday, Charlie (Tax-Cheat) Rangel says the Tea Party is racist and crackers. Leftist racial bigotry is ok I guess.
Don’t ask where is the Tea Party, ask our politicians to take their heads out of you know where

  8. @ Here Is The Tea Party said at 12:11 pm on August 5th, 2013:

We’re not talking about the Tea Party in general, we’re talking about the “vaunted” but failed Bayshore Tea Party Group which seems to have gone underground.

The Tea Party in many states is well founded. We’re talking about the losers who asked the Monmouth County DEMORATS for financial help.

  9. Where is here? said at 12:43 pm on August 5th, 2013:

Huh? So the BayShore Tea Party **Group** is one person commenting on the county’s largest, most influential political outlet who is saying “Our (5) members are on the Gov’t dime (Social Security) too!”

I remember a time when the BTPG was so unhappy with Pallone, and all progressive thinking and legislation, that they canvassed entire neighborhoods day in and day out to build up support for a (barely) Republican candidate who was running against Frank and for Freedom. Now there are two good Republican candidates running against Pallone and/or Booker, with no gerrymandered district lines in the way, and the TP isn’t even trying to be inclusive, expand it’s membership or organize a ground game. I suppose since there are few excuses if they should lose, they prefer to not even fight.

Frank is right — he DID de-feet the Tea Party; and if there are citizen patriots still left in this state, they would be wise to organize under a new banner and new leadership, find those who were once active and like-minded, and rekindle the movement and spirit of those who have been Taxed Enough Already.

I wonder which overpass they will man:

@Where is here. YES; Monmouth Tea Partiers need to organize under a new banner, but are there enough of them left and is there a real leader amongst them.

No Mark Falzone, we are not talking about you. “I know leaders, and you sir are no leader”

This is the funniest political blog post that I’ve ever seen. I have posted the link to this article on 26, 316 blogs around the world. No charge because I read your comment about money.

    But I have some questions:

How can you shamelessly endorse Pallone while accepting anti-Pallone advertising? What does this have to do with money?

Also, Christie sent a note to Rand Paul turning down Rand’s invitation for a beer because the governor said that he is facing a very tough election. Are you suggesting that we devote our energies and donations to getting Pallone nominated and take away very limited resources from Christie? Is it worth risking a Christie loss?

In any case, I agree with your editorial and would like you to make tons of money as the result of a Pallone win. Please send me the name of your election worker contact who will allow me to change Parties at this late date.
