Kyrillos was awakened by dirty trick robo call. Blames call on Bellew campaign

In a get out the vote email to his supporters this afternoon, State Senator Joe Kyrillos said that he and his wife were awakened at 4am this morning by the dirty trick robo call, and that his primary opponents are responsible for the call.

I also want to address the 4 a.m. robo-call many are talking about. Susan and I were awoken by it as well, and I can assure you it’s not how we wanted to start our day either. The fact is it was a dirty trick by our opponents who wanted to make it look like it came from our campaign. The matter is being covered by several news outlets and the incident is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office. It is a shame politics has come to this.

No one from the Bellew for State Senate campaign or the Bayshore Tea Party Group have responded to multiple requests for comment on the robo call.

They have the right to remain silent.

    I wouldn’t pin it on Bellew but I would pin it on the BSTP. They did it. I guess they got tired of popping tires like they did last year.

    I don’t believe this cheap gimmick. I suspect the paid mercenary hacks are behind this and not the Bellew campaign. Whomever is responsible for this, deserves the full punishment the law allows. Whether hack, Tea Party person or anyone. Isn’t there enough garbage in general elections that we have to endure? Now GOP primaries sink to new lows? We can’t chastise the Dems because their machine is so lock step, so goose step, there are zero Dem primary races in Monmouth County. No Dems are running opposed in their primary, or lack thereof. The radical left DC Dem machine still has a stranglehold, even here in NJ.

    Have you listened to the calls? The recording from the Bellew campaign’s phone greeting?

    I have not known you to let your passion override your intellectual honesty. If you have listened to both recordings and still say its a stunt by the GOP, I am deeply disappointed in you.

    No sir, I have not heard the recording. But think about it, what kind of nut would initiate this, thinking it would help them? Say what you want about Leigh-Ann, but nuts and stupid she is not. No, it is more common and I suspect last minute dirty tricks by the establishment folks.
    Thank you for at least admitting I have intellectual honesty, because I strive to maintain that. Wrong is wrong no matter who does it. I will be among the first to “OUT” any TP folks that cross that line. Fighting tough is ok, fighting dirty is not. The citizenry deserves better.

    I do have to admit their is a similarity. I listened to it before. As a Christian I was hoping Bellew was above it and had morals. I know the BSTP doesnt.

    What it comes down to is people have to have self dignity and respect. They cannot steal signs, pop tires, call in fake hostage situations and pretend to be contenders in robo calls. Those responsible should be held accountable and will be one way or another. I would never do anything of the sort nor have I on any campaign I have worked on.
