BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Bridgewater, NJ – Chris Christie for New Jersey today announced the unanimous endorsement of Governor Christie’s reelection bid by the Republican members of New Jersey’s Congressional Delegation. The six members, representing New Jerseyans in all but one of the state’s counties, pointed to the Governor’s strong leadership, record of accomplishment for New Jersey, and progress made in creating over 127,000 private sector jobs since taking office – all without raising taxes on overburdened New Jersey families.
“Governor Christie has provided effective leadership for New Jersey. From reforming pensions to holding the line on taxes, he is working to make our state more competitive for job creation,” said Congressman Scott Garrett. “New Jersey would be well served with Governor Christie at the helm for another four years. I am glad to join my colleagues in supporting his re-election.”
“Governor Christie has given New Jersey the type of bold, daring leadership that was so desperately needed to get us back on track,” said Congressman Chris Smith, the longest serving member of the New Jersey Congressional Delegation of either political party. “The Governor has proven over and over again that he puts New Jersey families first – reining in the cost of government without raising taxes and leading with bipartisan, principled compromise. I’m proud to join Governor Christie and help secure another four years of his leadership of our great state.”
“Under the Governor’s leadership, the Trenton status quo has been turned upside down. Rather than continuing with the Corzine-Buono years of reckless tax and fee increases on our families and skyrocketing government spending and debt, Governor Christie has held the line on taxes and spending, put our state back on track, and now continues to fight for tax relief and commonsense reforms,” said Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen. “I back Governor Christie’s re-election wholeheartedly and look forward to another four years of strong, bipartisan leadership and continued job creation for New Jerseyans.”
The six Republican members of New Jersey’s Congressional delegation include:
- Congressman Jon Runyan (NJ-3)
- Congressman Frank Lobiondo (NJ-2)
- Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11)
- Congressman Scott Garrett (NJ-5)
- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7)
- Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-4)
“I am honored not only by the support from each of these extremely well-respected members, but also by the partnership they have offered over the past three years whenever it was needed,” said Governor Christie. “We all share a fervent belief in standing up for our taxpayers, controlling the cost of government while protecting our essential priorities, creating jobs, and growing our economy. I’m proud to accept their endorsement and to keep fighting for those priorities for New Jerseyans’, including the bipartisan tax cut our middle and working class families deserve.”
Today’s endorsements follow a series of key endorsements from Democrat elected officials, labor groups and significant community organizations. To date, the Governor has earned the public support of 3 Democrat Mayors, the 20,000-member Laborers International Union, the Port Authority PBA, the Latino Leadership Alliance PAC, the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, the National Coalition of Latino Officers (NCLO), and the unified support of Lakewood’s Orthodox community.
Here’s more breaking news. The Pope is Catholic!!
I am shocked and disappointed that Scott Garrett did not endorse the only Tea Party Approved and Constitutionally Certified GOP candidate for Governor, Seth Grossman.
The Pope is a practicing Catholic too!
Shocking who exactly certified Grossman?
I know he was certified insane by a licensed doctor.
He is a self-certified Constitutional “expert.”
And I am self-certified brain surgeon. Any takers?
Sorry, but so far, this campaign is a real snoozer.. Cookie- cutter, text-book, and re- inventing the same old wheels. For the most popular gov. in the country, I just don’t see a lot of ticket coordination, effort to reclaim a legislative house, or enthusiasm or excitement. Money’s important, yes, but maybe we are all so down from Washington and this Administration’s continuous destruction of the country.. Maybe we are exhausted from all the constant over-regulating of our lives, and the ton of taxes we have to pay.. Don’t know, but sure do hope it gets more original and interesting, or we’ll just be crawling to the finish line back to Drumthwacket.
