UPDATE
Beck’s spokesman Mike Hughs called to say that the senator filed to run for reelection for Senate from the 11th District. The error on the part of the Division of Elections is being corrected.
ooops.
Are you sure she’s not the Bayshore TP candidate?
Makes you all warm and fuzzy knowing that they are in charge of elections. NOT!
I will say this, if you have never been to the Division of Elections as slates are filed, ESPECIALLY a day or two before the filing deadline, it is a mad house and one could see why they complete “unofficial lists.”
It’s even worse in a Presidential Election year with primary filings. One wonders how the workers get through it, with TEN’S of thousands of signatures being submitted.
Having done a Presidential submission last year, the staff operated with the utmost of professionalism under trying circumstances.
Not that it couldn’t be better, but “s–t” happens.
@The Digger …roger that, but still that warm and fuzzy feeling eludes me to see a mistake like that made. That being said, we all make mistakes, that’s why they have erasers on pencils. (does anyone use a pencil anymore??)
..there have been a few slip-ups thus far, this early in the cycle: need to tighten it up, the district is tough and getting tougher, so there’s not much room for any more,of consequence. Just because we are incumbents, does not lessen the need to be sharp and professional, and on our game, all the way through. Step it up, gang.
Has anyone seen if there is BSTPG Caravan heading to Trenton with candidate petitions?
When will we know about the full “vaunted” slate?
The answer lies between “who cares & what’s it matter?”
