We need to re-discover our humanity

2012 had moments that confirmed my faith in fellow man, and provided encouragement and inspiration to millions. 2012 also had moments that defied logic and decimated entire communities.

In looking forward to 2013 it cannot just be about momentary acts of kindness that make us feel better.

Instead we need to re-discover our humanity.

Many of us are active in our state and national organizations. But what of our neighbors?

Are we more likely to gossip about the pretty girl moving ahead on the corporate ladder instead of reaching out to the old couple up the street? Is it easier to brag about the check we have written for a charity then bring home groceries for the mother with her infants at home around the block?

This is no indictment on my fellowman, nor by any stretch is it meant to imply that I am without reproach.  What it is meant to do is to call attention to our humanity.

If we specify a certain number of acts of kindness does that mean that our humanity has a limit?

Instead of getting caught up in the latest fad of giving how about we all, including myself, determine (meaning to decide authoritatively) to have humanity begin at home.

This is no Pollyanna wish.  It is what separates us from the animals and brings us closer to God.  How many times a day do you pass the same bus driver, cafeteria worker, parking attendant, desk security, mailman etc., without not knowing their name or even saying hello.  The more people that care about us, the more opportunities for a lifeline when things go bad.  We cannot legislate away crazy and the reality is only the Lord will provide world peace.  But each of us in this New Year called 2013 can add humanity to the world around us.

Happy New Year and God’s Blessings for a Healthy and Prosperous One.

51% of this Country aren’t worth peeing on if they were on fire—let Milhous put them out. Those who voted for Milhous are sub-humans NOT worthy of anything………….

………….and let those sub-human Milhous voters support EVERYTHING–i will not give anyone a dime unless they are Conservative family members—you reap what you sow…………………….

America as a whole get back to the basics of family, faith, and the principles on which we were founded. The sick lib mentality has gradually eaten away at all things good, honest, true, and real. From the media biases and extremism,to the crass and brazen Hollywood culture, to the continuing excuses made for bad behavior of all types, we are ill from the inside-out,and we need to help ourselves and our fellow countrymen get better, one act of selflessness, kindness, and yes, consequences for bad choices that hurt others, at a time,or we will soon be in the annals of former great societies!

All great civilizations crumble under their own stupidity. The Roman Empire, Greeks etc, etc.

237 years is a long time. We are going down the same path as the other great countries of history.

The policies in place will certainly be the end of the USA in 25 years. When the Liberals wake up it will be to late.

At the end of any great country the government becomes more brutal to its citizens in an effort to hold power and this will certainly happen here. After the fall of the Government a more brutal governemnt takes over, usely a monarch or despot to fill the void.

Problem is that nobody thinks it can happen in the USA, but it is happening right before your eyes. We are a weakened paper word power and there is no turning back.

I morn for my children that will never expereince the USA like I have……….

And suggest strongly that everyone read Glenn Beck’s new easily-read and riveting novel,”Agenda 21″, if you want a peek at what can and is actually happening to us,as we continue to allow the destruction of our freedoms by these power-hungry socialist/elites. Give us another decade or less, the kids will think they owe their entire existence to the state, and that the state gives them all they deserve, and no individualism and ambition or questioning will ever again be attempted or tolerated! Khrushchev was right on target when he yelled they’d conquer us from within, without a shot. How pathetic and sad.

[…] Selikia Joshia Gore started us off in 2013 with a timeless call to renew our humanity; the ongoing struggle of saints and sinners to love one another regardless of standing, status or creed.   It is a winning message that works only by embracing our failures without resigning to them. […]
