The real reason that Romney lost is because he was over his head, just as I would have been over my head if I tried to beat Obama in an election.
His defeat was not for ideological reasons – it was based more on a mismatch in a battle of the slickest.
However, ideology probably paid a minor role in his loss – his Romney Care was worse than Obama Care because he never defined it. His intention to increase pre-emptive wars would have bankrupt our ability to maintain a strong defense. His refusal to clearly outline a method to cut down the size of government left potential supporters wondering whether he would even try.
He turned down a chance to endorse Fair Tax as a method to reduce government waste and abuse but refused to provide an alternative.
He supported the NDAA, which had become an outrage to many anti-Obama people.
On these major issues, he had no plan and no difference than Obama.
And then he supported rules changes at the RNC that were totally unfavorable for local representation, something that turned off our friends in Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Colorado, Nevada and Florida.
For the past few weeks, he had the country believing that he was winning, although the RCP polls indicated that he never lead in the electoral count. the proof caught up – he lost by a landslide – 332 to 206.
l have the same wish for those who stayed home as those who supported Milhous—a slow and painful death as you are denied services thanks to the healthcare plan you foisted on America—and i hope those who put ideology above America suffer twice.
Obama won more than 100% in parts of Ohio and Florida. He won 99% in parts of Philly. I have not tried to confirm these stories but they are food for thought…
