Just a Little Duplicity
Anna Little continues to claim support that she doesn’t have for her fledgling efforts to get on the ballot as candidate for federal office this fall.
In an email blast this morning, Little claimed she would be marching in the Highlands St. Patrick’s parade on Saturday with the Bayshore Tea Party Group. BTPG is not marching in the parade and has not endorsed Little’s quest for the GOP nomination for Congress from the 6th District. Little was forced to issue a retraction email and post on her facebook page.
Earlier this week, Little claimed she had the support of GOP leaders for congressional candidacy, despite the fact that she lost the Monmouth GOP endorsement to Ernesto Cullari on Friday March 16th.
Last December, Little listed endorsements she received during her 2010 congressional run on her U.S. Senate campaign website, as if they were endorsements for her ill fated Senate bid against Joe Kyrillos.
If the Middlesex County GOP endorses Little at the convention on Saturday morning, the Republican nomination for Congress in the 6th district against Frank Pallone will be split in the June primary, with Cullari the endorsed GOP candidate on Monmouth County ballots and Little the endorsed candidate on Middlesex County ballots.
Little has the support of Middlesex County Chairman, Senator Sam Thompson, and is expected to prevail on Saturday.
Thompson and the Middlesex GOP should consider themselves forewarned. Those who know Little best have decided not to endorse her candidacy. The reasons listed above are just the tip of the iceberg.
Earlier this week, Little claimed she had the support of GOP leaders for congressional candidacy
As fare as I have heard, she does. It may not be all but many.
In an email blast this morning, Little claimed she would be marching in the Highlands St. Patrick’s parade on Saturday with the Bayshore Tea Party Group.
Anna is a member and had heard that (as did I) that we (BSTP) was going to march in the HL parade. There was not ANY statement that BSTP had endorsed her in that email. Then she clarified that in her facebook post. Again doing the right thing and dispelling the bs.
Last December, Little listed endorsements she received during her 2010 congressional run on her U.S. Senate campaign website, as if they were endorsements for her ill fated Senate bid against Joe Kyrillos.
Not true.. it said previous endorsements for her congressional campaign, showing that she was supported in the past….
The only one trying to mislead is you.
On the current Anna Little For Congress website there are five tabs going across the page including one that reads “ENDORSEMENTS”.
If you click on that you are brought to a “Little For Congress” page and below that the word “Endorsements” written in bold lettering. Beneath that in very small black and white type/font is:
“Below are endorsements of Anna Little’s work and previous runs for office”.
Below that in bolder red lettering are listings of numerous names and groups.
Just my opinion but I think this is really stretching how most people in the context of a political campaign would normally use and understand the word “endorsement.” It would normally apply to ones current race especially when appearing on a website for a current active campaign.
Someone taking a quick glance at the page could easily miss the words that note these people/groups supported previous runs for office (and are not endorsing her current run for office).
I just wanted to clalify the comment form “none”. An email was sent out some time back asking who would be interested in marching in the parade. I did not get many responses and have been very busy, so I did not follow up on it. There was never an email sent out stating that we would be marching. I don’t know where you heard that, but obviously there was a miscommunication. A very clear message would have been sent out if we were to march in the parade. Again, I just wanted to clarify.
I don’t know what Anna has on the Middlesex County Republican leadership, but Anna got spanked in the Middlesex County in the primary two years ago. Monmouth, where she won two years ago, wants no part of her now. Come on, Middlesex, get with the program and do the right thing on Saturday – vote for Ernesto Cullari!
