Wildstein’s Attorney: Christie knew of the lane closures while they were occurring
Alan Zegas, David Wildstein’s attorney, told the press today that Governor Chris Christie knew of the September 2013 George Washington Bridge Lane closures that have become known as Bridgegate while they were occurring.
“Mr. Christie know of the lane closures while they were occurring. Evidence exists to establish that,” Zegas said.
Christie has steadfastly denied any knowledge of or involvement in the lane closures which Wildstein confessed today were designed as political retribution against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich , a Democrat, for refusing to endorse Republican Christie’s reelection.
Speaking outside the federal courthouse in Newark following his client’s guilty plea, Zegas said that Wildstein has been cooperating with the government and that there will be a lot more coming out in the Bridgegate case.
Christsie can still hug Jerry Jones but his Presidential run was mortally wounded today.
Christie and his friends may be bad people but at least unlike when Corzine, Sweeney and their friends were in charge, our property taxes are being managed and kept slightly under control.
Those dems are still, somehow, worse for this state than Christie and company, it’s really amazing how poor the candidates in NJ are year after year, and there is no reason or incentive for good people to leave the private sector and try to fix the mess that is this state, anyone who would be capable of putting in that effort just moves anywhere else but here.
And Corzine was hell-bent on selling the Garden State Parkway to a corp in China. What a messed up scheme THAT was.
Please people, just keep your grubby little political paws off of the public roadways from now on.
