The missing persons investigation into the whereabouts of Mary Silengo, 62, of Shadow Lake Village is ongoing, according to a statement by Deputy Chief Paul Bailey of the Middletown Township Police Department.
A body found floating in Shadow Lake on the afternoon of October 1 has not been identified. Deputy Chief Bailey told MMM that he did not know the gender of the deceased.

Thomas Hannigan, 52 of Shadow Lake Village in the River Plaza section of Middletown Township, was arrested and charged with the Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder of an 81 year old woman who was found at the scene with serious injuries when Middletown Police Offices responded to a report of an assault at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to an announcement by Det. Lt. Paul Bailey.
The domestic violence victim, who police are not identifying, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment.

Mayor Kevin Settembrino and the Middletown Township Committee honored Keith Thornton, a Security Officer with Marion Security Agency and Patrolman Nicholas Manochio for their heroic efforts in rescuing Gladys Bowden, 88, from her burning home in Shadow Lake Village on Saturday night, December 15.
The audience in the full meeting room at Town Hall gave Thornton and Manochio a standing ovation following Settembrino’s remarks and the presentation of their Life Saving Awards.

Keith Thornton, 31, of Asbury Park, a Security Officer employed by Marion Security of Red Bank, is credited with initiating the rescue of the 88 year old woman trapped in her burning Shadow Lake Village home on Saturday night, according to an updated press release by Detective Lt. Paul Bailey of the Middletown Township Police Department.
Family and friends of the fire victims have identified them as George and Gladys Bowden in a gofundme page.

Middletown Patrolman Nicholas Manochio was first on the scene at a fire at 54 Friendship Court in Shadow Lake Village on Saturday evening. Upon arriving at the fire which was reported at 7:20 p.m., Ptl. Manchio learned that there was an 87 year old woman in the burning home, according to Detective Lt. Paul Bailey, Public Information Officer of the Middletown Township Police Department.
Manchio entered the home and successfully rescued the woman who was then transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, along with a 91 year old male resident of the home. Both residents were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Monmouth County Surrogate Rosemarie Peters
Middletown, NJ- Monmouth County Surrogate Rosemarie Peters addressed a group of about 50 residents of Shadow Lake Village on Sunday afternoon to introduce the services of her office and to remind residents of importance of preparing proper documents to ensure that they are properly cared for in the event of disability or illness and the proper distribution of the property upon their passing.
The Surrogate’s Office is actually a Court as well as a branch of the Superior Court, Chancery Division. The Surrogate serves as the Deputy Clerk of the Chancery Division, Probate Part, and as the Judge of the Surrogate Court.
