Sheriff’s staff completes management training
Six staff members of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, five uniformed and one civilian, have successfully completed the prestigious New Jersey Certified Public Manager Program from Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration, according to an announcement by Sheriff Shaun Golden.
Golden himself completed the program in 2004 while he was a police officer in Toms River.
The new graduates are Sgt. David Wentworth, Sgt. Jose Rivera and Sgt. Joel Fischer of the Law Enforcement Division, Capt. Rene Roberts and Lt. Jason McCauley of the Correctional Division and Andrew Calvo, IT Director. Rivera was nominated for the Askew Award, a top honor from the American Academy of Certified Public Managers that recognizes exemplary work in completing the recipient’s CPM project.
