11 year old boy called bomb threat into Neptune’s Walmart

An 11 year old boy is responsible for the bomb scare that prompted the evacuation of the Walmart store in Neptune Township last Sunday afternoon, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced.

The store on Route 66 received a call at 1:07 p.m. on Palm Sunday stating the there was bomb in the store and suggesting it be evacuated.

Bomb dogs from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, New Jersey Transit Police Department, and Middletown Police Department were deployed to assist the Neptune Township Police Department at the scene. Law enforcement investigating threat by Keansburg student

A Keansburg student was charged with third degree Terroristic Threats after an alert school security officers overheard a threat made by the boy, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced.  An ongoing investigation has concluded that the boy did not have the wherewithal to carry out the threat.

A search of the child’s home found no weapons.  However a school yearbook was discovered with several students photos blocked out. The boy told investigators those classmates were “mean” to him.

Gramiccioni is not identifying the boy because of his young age.

18 year old Neptune Township man wanted in murder 10 year old Asbury Park boy

Karon Council, 18 of Neptune Township, is wanted for the murder of Yovanni Banos-Merino, 10

Karon Council, 18, of Neptune Township has eluded arrest for the murder of  Yovanni Banos-Merino, 10, of Asbury Park and the wounding of his mother,  Lilia Merino, 38.

“We are seeking the public’s assistance in helping us locate the second individual involved in this horrible crime,” announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

16 Year Old Neptune Boy Charged in Asbury Park Shooting

A 16 year old boy from Neptune Township was arrested at Neptune High School this afternoon and charged in the shooting death of a 10 year old Asbury Park boy and the wounding of the boy’s 39 year old mother, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Oceanport Man Charged With Distributing Child Pornography

Kevin A. Long, 27, of Wolfhill Avenue in Oceanport, iwas charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in connection with the Distribution of Child Pornography and third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in connection with the Possession of Child Pornography, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Long was arrested following a joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and federal Homeland Security Investigations. Tennis Instructor Charged With Kiddie Porn and Sexually Assaulting 13 Year Old Students

A 26 year old Colts Neck man was indicted on 15 counts of various sexual assault and child pornography charges on Friday, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Judge Thompson gets slap on the wrist in ticket fixing scheme

Richard B. Thompson, 62, of Middletown, received a curiously lenient deal from Monmouth County Prosecutors on Friday when he pleaded guilty to one count of fourth degree Falsifying Records.

As the Municipal Court Judge in nine Monmouth County towns, Thompson altered records of approximately 4000 traffic tickets, according to an announcement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni. In his scheme which occurred between January 2010 and the date of his suspension in October of 2015, Thompson converted fines for motor vehicle infractions to contempt of court penalties.  He admitted that the purpose of the scheme was to enable towns that hired him to keep the money collected from wayward motorists rather than split it with Monmouth County, as required by state law.  The scheme cost Monmouth County’s treasury more than $500,000. Long Branch woman charged with bomb threat on Prosecutor’s Office

Shuanita Foskey, 48, of Norwood Ave in Long Branch, was charged with calling in a false bomb threat to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in Freehold, according to an announcement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Foskey is accused of calling the Prosecutor’s switchboard on Friday afternoon, January 19, and claiming a bomb was on the premises that would explode shorty.  The Jersey Ave building was evacuated. Bomb sniffing K-9 units from Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean County Sheriff’s Offices and the New Jersey Transit Police Department were deployed and determined that the threat was false.
