Manalapan Man Arrested By Feds For Producing Child Porn

Angelo Curato, 26, of Manalapan, was arrested by federal authorities today and charged with convincing children to engage in sexually explicit conduct online, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

On June 2, 2017, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Curato’s residence. A forensic review of Curato’s laptop revealed hundreds of sexually explicit chat messages on his Skype accounts and hundreds of screenshots of boys engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

The defendant was arrested by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s at that time and charged with one count of third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography and one count of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography.

He is charged today by federal complaint with one count of producing visual depictions of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Police Seek Help In Locating Asbury Park Shooter

The Asbury Park Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the individual(s) involved in a shooting in the city on Tuesday afternoon, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

One male was found shot yesterday afternoon when the Asbury Park PD responded to a shots fired report at approximately 4:06 p.m. in the area of 1400 Main Street.  A 2017 Nissan Altima, which did not belong to the victim, was found to have sustained a single gun shot to the drivers side door. A gun shot was also located on a garbage can near the south side of 1400 Main Street.

Red Bank First Responder Murdered Sunday Morning, Arrest Made

Demar S. Reevey, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with the stabbing death of Andrew Hill, 26, also of Red Bank, according to an announcement my Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Freehold Man Charged With Raping and Photographing 14 Year Old Girl

David Buabeng, 55, of Windsor Terrace in Freehold Township, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first degree Kidnapping, second degree Child Luring, two counts of first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, and first degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Causing or Permitting a Child to Engage in Child Pornography, second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Manufacturing Child Pornography, and third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Hazlet Woman Killed Crossing Rt 36

Crystal Vernon, 34 of Hazlet, was struck by a vehicle and killed on Monday night as she attempted to cross the highway at the marked intersection at Laurel Ave, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni. Vernon was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:39 p.m.

Margaret Holtz, 67, of North Middletown, was the driver of the 2004 Ford Freestar van  that struck the Hazlet woman.  An 85 year old man was a passenger in the vehicle.  Neither Holtz or he passenger were injured.

Neptune City Man Shot Dead While Driving On Route 18 In Colts Neck

Lloyd Earl Sanders, 54, of Neptune City was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound after Colts Neck Police found his body in a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C350 that had crashed on Route 18, south of County Road 537 at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Colts Neck Police received a 9-1-1 call at 1:58 a.m. on Sunday morning April 29 reporting on single car crash on on Route 18 south where they discovered the driver, Sanders, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.  A 52 year old passenger with non-life threatening injuries was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.  RSLmedia is reporting that the 52 year old passenger also suffered gunshot wounds. Ryan M. Cullinane, 27, of Tinton Falls and a patrolman with the Shrewsbury Borough Police Department, pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to fourth degree Trespass before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Vincent N. Falcetano, Jr., Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced.

Former Keansburg Teacher Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Distribution

Marc S. Marinoff, 31, of Pear Drive, in Marlboro, formerly a teacher at the Joseph R. Bolger Middle School in Keansburg, pleaded guilty to one count of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child involving the Distribution of Child Pornography today, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Under the terms of his plea agreement, Marinoff faces a 3-year state prison term and will be subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law upon his release. Marinoff is permanently banned from holding any public employment in New Jersey and has forfeited his current public post as a school teacher.

Active Shooter Drill Scheduled At Former Manasquan School

Law enforcement agencies from throughout Monmouth County, as well as state agencies, will conduct an active shooter training exercise in Manasquan on April 20th at the former St. Denis School property, Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni, Sheriff Shaun Golden, and the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association announced. The former Catholic school closed in 2015.

April 20th is the 19th anniversary of the Columbine School Massacre in Jefferson County, Colorado.

“Recent events have only served to highlight the need for preparedness,” said Gramiccioni. “We started down this road nearly 15 months ago with an eye towards readiness and we will continue to prepare for providing the safety our citizens need and deserve. Union Beach man charged with child pornography and gun possession

Henry Cicerale, 59, of Park Avenue in Union Beach, set-up a wireless Internet network at a neighbor’s home and was using that network to access, download, and distribute child pornography.  His computers and other digital media devices had hundreds of items of child pornography, an 11 month investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office concluded. Investigators also found an unloaded gun in his home.

Cicerale is charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography, third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography and second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Prosecutor Christopher J.
