Marc S. Marinoff, 31, of Pear Drive, in Marlboro, formerly a teacher at the Joseph R. Bolger Middle School in Keansburg, pleaded guilty to one count of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child involving the Distribution of Child Pornography today, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Marinoff faces a 3-year state prison term and will be subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law upon his release. Marinoff is permanently banned from holding any public employment in New Jersey and has forfeited his current public post as a school teacher.

Congressman Chris Smith’s office is holding an information session for high school and college age students interested in attending a U.S. Service Academy on Thursday, April 19, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Naval Weapons Station Earle, 201 Highway 34 in Colts Neck, NJ.
The event is for any high school or college student (and their parents, counselors or educators) residing in the Fourth Congressional District who is interested in learning about competing for a nomination to one of the United States Service Academies. Each institution affords young men and young women military training and a collegiate educational opportunity that is free of financial obligation, provided the student graduates and fulfills his or her service obligation. Law enforcement agencies from throughout Monmouth County, as well as state agencies, will conduct an active shooter training exercise in Manasquan on April 20th at the former St. Denis School property, Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni, Sheriff Shaun Golden, and the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association announced. The former Catholic school closed in 2015.
April 20th is the 19th anniversary of the Columbine School Massacre in Jefferson County, Colorado.
“Recent events have only served to highlight the need for preparedness,” said Gramiccioni. “We started down this road nearly 15 months ago with an eye towards readiness and we will continue to prepare for providing the safety our citizens need and deserve. Monmouth County has expanded its efforts to support area military veterans.
A new office staffed to assist veterans and their dependents in applying for service-connected compensation, benefits and other earned entitlements through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs was opened yesterday in Fort Monmouth at 1000 Sanger Avenue, Oceanport, NJ.

Henry Cicerale, 59, of Park Avenue in Union Beach, set-up a wireless Internet network at a neighbor’s home and was using that network to access, download, and distribute child pornography. His computers and other digital media devices had hundreds of items of child pornography, an 11 month investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office concluded. Investigators also found an unloaded gun in his home.
Cicerale is charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography, third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography and second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Prosecutor Christopher J. Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso
Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso (R-Monmouth), along with her colleagues Assemblywomen Nancy Munoz (R-Union) and Holly Schepisi (R-Bergen), today called on the legislature to take action on a 10 bill package they introduced last week to address school safety in light of the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida and other tragic incidents.
The proposed legislation is based on recommendations from two panels of experts that were set-up in the wake of the 2012 school shooting in Newtown, Conn, DiMaso and Munoz said in a joint statement.
