Two young Monmouth County companies are teaming up to give their customers a jolt.
Jughandle Brewing Company, the Tinton Falls craft brewer that opened last month, and Booskerdoo Coffee and Baking Company, the five year old organic coffee roaster with stores in Monmouth Beach, Fair Haven, Asbury Park, Long Branch and Holmdel, announced today that they are collaborating on creating a coffee porter to be released in the fall in time for football season and the holidays.

Jughandle Brewing Company, and owners Pete Artherholt and Mike Skudera of Tinton Falls and Chris Hanigan of Red Bank are ready to open their new Tinton Falls microbrewery on Saturday at noon.
The brewery in the Tinton Falls Centre Plaza on Asbury Ave. held a “soft opening” on Thursday evening to identify and work out any kinks. The beer is fresh, cold and delicious.
Your favorite blogger sampled the Imperial Stout and English Bitter, both of which are excellent. The opening menu of beers also includes IPA, RyePA, Saison, and Hefeweizen.

Freehold Family Boosts Local Businesses and Shoppers

A new app developed by a father and son team from Freehold has the potential to save Monmouth County residents real money on our everyday purchases and for local businesses to develop enhanced customer loyalty.
Dealizt was launched late last year by Dan Davidson and his son Justin, both of Freehold. The app has the look and feel of a big, nationwide endeavor, and maybe someday it will be. In reality it is a small business just like the companies that offer ongoing discounts to new and loyal customers through the app that is available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
So far the app is populated by just under 100 Monmouth County businesses. Justin tells me that new users are downloading the app at a rate of about 25 per day.
