NEW BRUNSWICK– Cory Aufiero, 19 of Colts Neck, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:30 Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle driven by David Stewart, 36, of Somerset, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation by the New Brunswick Patrolman Sean Cahill and the Middesex County Prosecutor’s Detective David Abromaitis, Stewart was driving a 2011 Nissan Sentra and traveling west on George Street near Albany and Somerset Streets. Gopal apparently knows he’s been caught lying to the public for months and is now trying, poorly, to explain himself.
The Asbury Park Press knows about Gopal’s misrrepresentations. Inexplicably, APP has yet to report on Gopal’s dishonesty. APP endorsed Senator Jennifer Beck for reelection over Gopal.
In his TV commercials, Gopal claims he volunteers as a first responder in Long Branch. A memorial service to honor the life of U.S. Marine Crewmaster Daniel Baldassare will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at Colts Neck High School. The service will start at 11 a.m. The Baldassare family has invited all to attend.
Volunteers are requested on Monday, July 24 at 6 p.m. to bring American flags to line the football field. On Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., volunteers are asked to bring a flag a form a line of honor from 5 Points Road to the football field for the Baldassare family’s entrance to the funeral.
