Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden and Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni unveiled HOPE One on Monday evening during the National Night Out gathering in Asbury Park.
The mobile unit staffed with a sheriff’s officer, a certified peer recovery specialist and a licensed clinician that will travel to targeted communities in the county connecting individuals with substance use disorder and family members, to immediate services, treatment facilities and Naloxone training is the latest innovation in the County’s ongoing efforts to combat the opioid addiction epidemic.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced via social media that Aaron D. Davis, 36, of Long Branch is wanted for leaving a caged dog, now named River, on the banks of the Shrewsbury River in Highlands on the morning of July 30th.

Drunk Brooklyn dentist was driving on the wrong side of the highway
Michael Gustafson, 66, the owner of Mike’s Bikes Shop at Route 36 and Ave D in Atlantic Highlands, was pronounced dead early Saturday morning at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, following a motor vehicle crash that occurred at the Middletown/Highlands border on Route 36, according to a statement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Anthony F. Sarlo, 62, a dentist from Brooklyn was driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee westbound in the eastbound lane of Route 36 when he crashed into Gustafson who was driving eastbound in a 2017 Honda Fit at approximately 12:46 a.m. Both the Highlands and Middletown Police Departments responded to the crash, according to a Highlands law enforcement source. The Middletown PD handled the initial investigation.

Andrew Hill
Demar S. Reevey, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with the stabbing death of Andrew Hill, 26, also of Red Bank, according to an announcement my Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Law enforcement agencies from throughout Monmouth County, as well as state agencies, will conduct an active shooter training exercise in Manasquan on April 20th at the former St. Denis School property, Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni, Sheriff Shaun Golden, and the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association announced. The former Catholic school closed in 2015.
April 20th is the 19th anniversary of the Columbine School Massacre in Jefferson County, Colorado.
“Recent events have only served to highlight the need for preparedness,” said Gramiccioni. “We started down this road nearly 15 months ago with an eye towards readiness and we will continue to prepare for providing the safety our citizens need and deserve. Henry Cicerale, 59, of Park Avenue in Union Beach, set-up a wireless Internet network at a neighbor’s home and was using that network to access, download, and distribute child pornography. His computers and other digital media devices had hundreds of items of child pornography, an 11 month investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office concluded. Investigators also found an unloaded gun in his home.
Cicerale is charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography, third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography and second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Prosecutor Christopher J. Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has referred the corruption allegations against Freeholder John P. Curley made by former Assemblyman Michael Panter, in his capacity as in house counsel for Realty Data Systems, LLC, to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, according to Charles Webster, spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office.
Due to the allegations against a sitting Freeholder, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office forwarded Mr. Panter’s letter of March 27 to the Attorney General’s Office for review and to take whatever actions they deem appropriate, Webster wrote to MMM.
