Governor Phil Murphy is allowing smoking in Atlantic City casinos starting today, along with indoor dining and movie theaters reopening.

Hooray! September 4 is the new July 4.

Senator Declan O’Scanlon says Murphy is hypocrite for allowing small businesses to languish for months but illogically calling for smoking indoors at casinos during the pandemic.

Senator Declan O’Scanlon and Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso (R-Monmouth) today welcomed the news that Governor Phil Murphy is allowing New Jersey restaurants to reopen indoor dining starting this weekend, but criticized the Governor’s delay and his 25% capacity limitation.

Rt Spikes After Murphy Dines in Middletown

The COVID-19 rate of transmission, Rt, has spiked in New Jersey since Wednesday, August 26 when Governor Phil Murphy dined in Middletown.

There is absolutely no evidence that Murphy dining outdoors while his friend hosted a 40-50 people indoors in his EO-163 non-compliant Barrel Room Bar has anything to do with the increase in New Jersey’s Rt from .77 on Thursday to .87 on Sunday.

Murphy dines outdoors at Nicholas Barrel and Roost while indoor dining is packed

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy dined outdoors at Nicholas Barrel and Roost in Middletown last evening while the indoor Barrel Room was packed with knuckleheads.

Murphy, who seemed aware of my presence, wore a mask at his outdoor table while those dining in the crowded Barrel Room were maskless.

Trump campaign, GOP, sues Murphy to block vote-by-mail election

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, the Republican National Committee and the New Jersey Republican Party have sued New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Secretary of State Tahesa Way in federal court to block the enforcement of Murphy’s Executive Order requiring a vote-by-mail election this November.
