Monmouth County residents looking for work or a new career have the opportunity to meet with over 150 employers looking for local talent on Friday, April 12 from 10 am till 1 pm at Brookdale Community College, thanks to the Board of Freeholders, Monmouth County Workforce Development Board, Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Monmouth-Ocean Development Council and Brookdale Community College, Deputy Freeholder Director Patrick Impreveduto announced.
“Top employers throughout the Monmouth County area will be looking to hire qualified candidates at this spring job fair,” said Deputy Director Patrick Impreveduto, liaison to the County’s Division of Workforce Development. “The job fairs at Brookdale are one of the many ways the County directly helps residents while also working to strengthen our local businesses and companies.”
Congressman Chris Smith said that the legalistic stonewalling on the part of Garden City Community College “begs the question of a cover-up” of wrong doing or negligence regarding the death of 19 year old football player Braeden Bradforth.

There is full -fledged crisis that is not on the border – it’s in our families and can no longer be ignored. One in four Americans cannot afford their medication.
There is a controversial initiative being pushed in Washington called the Rebate Rule, which affects the ability of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) such as Express Scripts, CVS Caremark and OptumRx to negotiate rebates with drug makers for Medicare recipients. We need leaders from both political parties- including Congressman Frank Pallone, to come out and take a more vocal, stronger stand against this.
NJ.com is reporting that someone paid $15,000 on ebay for advance tickets to Avengers: Endgame at a theater in West Orange the movie’s “Opening Day” of April 26.
Henry G. Cirignano of Wall, the probation officer charged with Official Misconduct and 2 counts of second degree Sexual Assault for coercing a women under his supervision into sexual activity in February, was arrested again on Monday, April 1 and charged with multiple offenses including witness tampering and making terroristic threats, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Sea Bright Mayor Dina Long announced on facebook and twitter this morning that she will not seek a third term leading the borough.
Long has served on the governing body for 16 years, the last 7 as mayor. She led the rescue and recovery from Superstorm Sandy,which is ongoing.
First elected as a Democrat, Long left the party and became an Independent after Vin Gopal, then Chairman of the Monmouth Democrats, retaliated against her for endorsing Governor Chris Christie’s reelection in 2013.
She was reelected without partisan opposition in 2015.
The Middletown Township Committee officially opposed New Jersey’s status as a “Sanctuary State” for illegal aliens and pledged that the Township will never become a “Sanctuary City.”
The Committee passed resolution 19-129 on Monday night. The resolution declares that sanctuary policies are “harmful to the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Township of Middletown for numerous reasons, including but not limited to undermining law enforcement, encouraging violations of federal immigration law, and jeopardizing receipt of meaningful federal funding.”
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is coming to Monmouth County to raise money for the Democrats 2019 campaign, MMM has learned.
“When you drive the Garden State Parkway in parts of Monmouth County, it smells like cow farts,” the freshman congresswoman from New York said in private Snap Chat. “This is the perfect place to elect Democrats to implement the New Green Deal.”
Governor Phil Murphy has offered his Blossom Cove Road home for the fundraiser. “That sounds like it will smell very nice,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
