We must move forward together

By Christine G. Hanlon

This evening, the Monmouth County Republican Committee will come together to reorganize our Party and vote for a new County Chair. I humbly ask for the support of the county committee members from all across this wonderful county. I will work hard every day to make sure that Monmouth County, through Republican governance at every level, remains a beautiful and affordable place to live.

We must head into this election season with strength, unity and the resolve to work our hardest to elect a new President to the White House, Joe Kyrillos to the United States Senate, Chris Smith and Anna Little to the United States Congress, and to re-elect County Clerk M. Claire French, and Freeholders John Curley and Serena DiMaso. The stakes have never been higher. We must continue on our current path so that we can begin to restore America’s greatness, reduce the size of government, reign in spending, repeal Obamacare and get America back on the path of individualism.

I am confident that our best days are ahead of us. If I am elected Chair, I promise to work my hardest with you and for you to continue the great progress we have made in recent years. Most importantly, as your Chair, I will continue to work to build bridges and unify our Party so that we will emerge from this process stronger than ever!

I am so grateful for all of the strong support I have received, along with the endorsements of dozens of local elected officials, municipal chairs and the following state and county officials from Monmouth County.

  • Senator Joe Kyrillos
  • Senator Jennifer Beck
  • Assembly Republican Conference Leader Dave Rible
  • Assembly Republican Deputy Conference Leader Mary Pat Angelini
  • Assemblywoman Amy Handlin
  • Assemblyman Rob Clifton
  • Sheriff Shaun Golden
  • Surrogate Rosemarie Peters
  • Freeholder Deputy Director Tom Arnone
  • Freeholder Gary Rich
  • Freeholder Serena DiMaso

I look forward to working with all Monmouth Republicans toward a bright future for Monmouth County, New Jersey and the United States of America!

to be this biased, helpful, and out-there, in Nov., against all Dems!.. enough, for God’s sake!!!.. do the outgoing Chair/Hanlon Comm., intend to repeat the Gala slide show with her photo about every 5 slides tonight, prior to voting, too?..this is really smacking of last-minute desperation and is getting ridiculous, now!!

the total freak-out you did this am on an accurate and TRUE, if you READ it, answer piece, to show John’s firm’s many more contributions to all the Republicans, which got hand-delivered to like 70 houses yesterday, again shows they know how mean, negative, and plain wrong they were..predicting the gutter snipes, against any fellow Reps, will backfire on the great young minds, this evening..

sorry to inform you, there unfortunately will be some longtime friendships that may never be able to be repaired again, over the disloyalty, lies, and plain mean and nasty tactics some of your supporters used, in your behalf, this campaign.. shame on them, and,so, on you, for thinking you needed to do all that..

This is a snapshot of the class act Christine Hanlon is. I don’t hear or see John Bennett calling for unity. Instead, he slithers around with his cronies trying to start rumors and destroy her and the party she has helped build with countless others, both elected and volunteer.

Where was John Bennett two years ago when the Tea Party folks needed training to challenge? I didn’t see him putting in countless training sessions, spending hours on the phone selflessly helping campaigns, and staying at HQ until the wee hours.

Some say she never held elected office, while John Bennett did. Yes, he was elected (and also soundly defeated) to a legislative seat….but not an executive position of leadership. And for those few days he acquired gubernatorial leadership through a crazy scenario, he behaved badly.

Tonight let’s elect someone to the executive seat of our party who already has proven her character and ability to lead, not move in a pack. Make your voice heard. Make history for the Grand Old Party of Monmouth County. Make Christine Giordano Hanlon our Chairman/woman …. a leader we can be proud of.

Never was there been a more stark contrast between two candidates, nor a clearer choice. Christine Hanlon is the epitome of class, in addition to being a tireless worker for the party. She is a proven winner and will represent the party well. Hang tough Christine, you and your many supporters will be able to celebrate a well-earned victory tonight.

Christine was definitely a class act, despite the rude behavior of some Bennett supporters, at tonight’s convention!

It was all about getting out your voters….and some of Christine’s stayed home. Chalk it up to the rain, or thinking she had it in the bag, but with only 3 votes separating winner from loser this was not about message. It was about turn-out.

Christine Hanlon is and always will be a champion in the minds and hearts of the Monmouth GOP. No one can take that away from her. Her reputation is untarnished; her stock has not dropped. It is now up to John Bennett to show us what he can do for the good of the whole. Let’s see.
