New Republican bill would allow you to grow your own marijuana as N.J. legal weed debate continues
As lawmakers and Gov. Phil Murphy debate change to a bill that will launch legal marijuana sales in New Jersey, one Republican senator has introduced a bill that would allow residents to grow up to six weed plants at home.
Sen. Gerald Cardinale, R-Bergen, is the primary sponsor of S3407, introduced Thursday. The bill legalizes possession of six or fewer marijuana plants once Murphy signs a legalization bill into law.
Medical marijuana patients have long called for the state to allow them to grow their own plants. The strained medical cannabis program in New Jersey has led to high prices and pr…
We voted yes on the marijuana ballot question because we wanted marijuana to be inexpensive and easy to obtain. We wanted to grow it ourselves and sell a modest amount. With so many people in poverty now in NJ, home growing marijuana could be the break people need. The previously planned tax and spend redistribution of marijuana corporate wealth will just produce more poverty and dependency.
One of the very few things i voted YES for. Of course the loony libs in this state found a way to screw it up. I’d much rather put $$ in the pockets of my friends than give any to the corrupt govt in this sorry excuse of a State!
ANOTHER FAKE POST !!
This guy has too much time on his hands lol.
is this guy ? Name sounds familiar.
who thinks anything NJ does is for taxpayers’ benefits, deserves the crappy government we’ve had for far too long. Just another
( unhealthy, dangerous, easy!) way to grab more taxes, for them to waste..Been up to Ewr or on a NJ Transit train, or seen the garbage/ graffiti all along the routes, lately ? Seen the rusting parkway overpasses, and various crumbling infrastructure, around this state, lately? Or are you too numb/ dumb to realize what a bad quality of life deal we’re getting, and need much better, for what we pay? Will see if the 900,000- plus majority of registered Democrats take us down another path of disappointment,or can we band together with enough independents and, for once, positively change the trajectory of this place?
And rightly so, it seems to me that this is a great solution for everyone. Sometimes I just do not understand why not just take and adopt such laws in every state, because we are one country. It seems to me that it is already obvious to everyone that marijuana should be legal since many people really need it for medical purposes and many people would not even survive without it. Marijuana is now an integral part of our life and nothing can be done about it
