Golden condemns congressional candidate’s social media behavior. Calls for Gindi to drop out of CD-6 race.

Monmouth GOP Chairman, Sheriff Shaun Golden

Monmouth County Republican Chairman, Sheriff Shaun Golden has condemned the recent social media behavior of Sammy Gindi, an “off the line” candidate for the Republican nomination to challenge Congressman Frank Pallone in the fall. Golden called for Gindi to withdraw from the Republican primary.

“The Monmouth County Republican Committee rejected Gindi’s candidacy by an overwhelming margin at our nominating convention and the inflammatory tweet by Gindi only confirms the correct course of action,” Golden said.

“At a time where we should be putting partisan politics aside and working together to battle through this crisis, it is unacceptable for him to post such divisive comments.

“We condemn his outrageous social media behavior and urge him to dorp out of the race prior to ballot printing”

Golden is responding to a tweet Gindi posted last night stating that he is 100% opposed to abortion except for liberals.

Gindi has also posted inflammatory content on facebook and has been removed from several facebook groups.

Gindi lost the Monmouth County Republican line for Congress in CD-6 to Christian Onuoha of Sayreville by a vote of 49-9 at the MCRO nominating convention in February. Onuoho defeated Gindi at the Middlesex County GOP convention in March by a margin of 70-22.

Gindi defended his social media posts, according to NewJerseyGlobe.

“It is clearly satire targeted at the pro abortion movement in our country,” he said, according to NJGlobe. “If they don’t think anything is wrong with them, why can’t it apply to them only? Why can they make fun of and insult us all the time and we can’t even make a joke back? No thank you.”

    is never what some say about others, it’s when someone trashes you personally, and when you feel free to trash anything about anyone else. This is the belief today. “Freedom of speech,” yes: randomly spewing out your personal venom on someone else, to feel better about yourself, is both ignorant and classless- hence the prior comment about social media. An unfortunate reality of our times.

    Gindi does not have the line in Monmouth or Middlesex
