Hanlon announces measures to correct Vote-By-Mail issues

Freehold, NJ-Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon announced this morning that there as been an issue throughout the State of New Jersey with the proper delivery of Vote-By-Mail ballots being returned to the Board of Elections in voters respective counties.
Hanlon said that out of over 23,000 ballots requested in Monmouth County, over 4,700 voters have already returned their ballots to the Board of Elections without issue.However, the Clerk’s Office has received about 30 calls from voters who mailed in their ballots and had them return to to their homes by the Post Office.
Postal Service scanners have been picking up the tracking label on the return address of some ballots as the “mail to” address.
Hanlon and County Clerks throughout New Jersey have been in contact with the United States Postal Service regarding this issue. The Postal Service is working closely with us and we have been communicating with them to resolve these issues.
Voters are advised that to return the ballot, they can just put the ballot back in the mail. No additional postage is necessary.
If needed, the County Clerk’s Office will provide a new envelope to voters who have had their ballots returned by the Post Office. Call 732-431-7790
Additionally, Vote-By-Mail ballots can be hand delivered to the Monmouth County Board of Elections, 300 Halls Mill Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728, either by the voter or a duly appointed bearer.
Hanlon urged any voters with concerns about their ballots to call the Board of Elections at 732-431-7802 or her office at 732-431-7790 without delay.
Mail-in ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by 8PM on Election Day, November 8. The deadline for requesting a Vote-By Mail Ballot vial mail is 3PM on November 1. Voters who miss the deadline to receive a ballot by mail and make an in-person Mail-In Ballot application at the Board of Election Office up until 3PM on November 7.

How about two different voter id’s, same birth dates, same address, same last name and same first name with only one letter added to one of the first names and they are both being sent vote by mail ballots to the same address overseas in the UK. And both are males. Hmmmmm?
