Phony Pallone’s Phony Sit-in: A typical day of inaction

Congressman Frank Pallone said last week that sitting on the floor of the House of Representatives to try to force the Republican majority to force a vote on gun control legislation was his proudest moment in 28 years in Washington.

Pallone told NJ.com’s Auditor that he is holding a “symbolic sit-in” in his New Brunswick Office today, as a “national day of action” with his fellow Democrat Congress  Members, where his constituents could sit on the floor and discuss gun control legislation with him.

A look at the congressman’s facebook and twitter pages had no mention of the sit in. His official website had no mention of it.  On his campaign Pallone and Cantor West Long Branch 062916twitter account, there was a freshly posted picture of Marlboro Councilman Jeff Cantor’s ass and the congressman sitting on a West Long Branch porch with a resident who didn’t appear to be happy to see them.

I called Pallone’s New Brunswick office and asked the young man who answered the phone when the sit-in would be.  After being put on hold for 3 minutes, a nice staffer picked up the phone and said she didn’t know anything about it.  I read her the paragraph from the Auditor  , which jogged her memory.  “Oooh, I think that is at noon, but the man in charge of that is not here.  Either he or I will call you back.”

No one has called back.
