New Jersey Friends of Clearwater (NJFC) is a grass roots organization,
fully non-profit, volunteer-run and staffed. Since 1974, this organization
has been actively educating children and adults on the importance of clean, clear water and to urge citizens to be responsible custodians of our domain: the estuaries of the Raritan, Passaic, Hudson, Delaware, and other NJ Rivers, the Jersey Shore coastline, its inland waterways, and the land of New Jersey. Our record of success against pollution has become a model for other environmental groups in the State.
New Jersey Friends of Clearwater (NJFC), through its volunteers, conducts environmental education, celebration and advocacy activities including: an annual Festival and other music events, clean-ups, environmental watches, political action, and education programs like our exciting hands-onTraveling Environmental Festival (TEF) for schools and youth organizations.
Proceeds from the Festival help fund these activities for the upcoming
year, especially our education program, the Traveling Environmental Festival. To date our TEF has visited over 20,000 school children at schools and youth organizations in New Jersey and beyond, and with your support Clearwater will continue to expand on its education mission.
