Freeholder Challenger Claims “real republican” Mantle

Amateur nutjob Ed Pekarsky. facebook photo

Amateur nutjob Ed Pekarsky. facebook photo

Bayshore Tea Party backed freeholder candidate Ed Pekarsy responded to an email invitation to a Monmouth County Young Republicans social event with a rant disparaging the Monmouth GOP.

While I am glad to see that Monmouth county YR’s are continuing on our traditions and prescribing to our republican principals, I did want to inform your group that over the past several years, what I knew as Republicans have changed. In many ways, old guard establishment republicanism now means larger government spending and more legislating against our freedoms while an arrogant elitism have captured the party that WE all dislike and we all have come to associate with the left in this country.

The email distribution list includes numerous Monmouth County Republican elected officials, Municipal Chairs, a state GOP staffer, a State GOP Committeeman, county employees, and former elected and party officials.  Note to YR Chair Jessica Reyes…bcc is your friend.

Pekarsky went on to tell his audience that they are alienating “our own republican brothers and sisters.”

Now, having said that and being a former dues-paying member of Monmouth YR’s, I felt I needed to reach out again to your group and inform young republicans about republican(s), who seem to be neglected and ostracized within our own party and our own republican brothers and sisters.
I personally now belong to a group of dedicated constitutional / conservative republicans who are running under the banner of Republicans for Conservative Leadership (R4CL) here in Monmouth county. I wanted to inform fellow former and present YR’s, that we live and work here in Monmouth County, we always vote for true republicans, we never vote for the leftists and yet, the party I have always identified myself with as 20’s-something republican are now labeling me and those I associate with as tea-party nut jobs, big mouth amateurs and those who have no place in the political process system etc. I am a 34 year old republican! I always have been and always will be a republican! And in all honesty, this group of conservatives, now reflect the original and true republican values I have always associated myself with, including when I was a Monmouth YR’s back in the early 2000s.

My group of republicans stand for a STRONG reduction in government spending levels, we uphold a very PRO-second and tenth amendment, we INSIST on the right to give parents of kids, the choice on how they want educate their own kids and NOT some bureaucrat on state payroll to dictate what they need to “learn”. We are staunch supporters of America’s military and their families; and we stand up to PROTECT those who can’t voice for themselves their God given life, liberty and happiness.

My group, R4CL vigorously opposes EVERY disgraceful liberal agenda item and their twisted ideologies. We as the REAL Republicans FIGHT against the continuous blurring of the ideological line between liberalism and establishment republicanism.

Pekarsky concluded his email with a hope to chat with ya’ll.

And he doesn’t like being referred to as a big mouthed amateur tea party nut job.

This guy is from Middletown?? Has any Republican from Middletown ever seen him anywhere? Or any of the YR’s from the early 2000s?

  2. Barbara said at 10:43 pm on April 29th, 2013:

This is a 34 year old citizen of NJ who has every right to run for office and appeal to fellow young republicans. The fact that you took a Halloween Picture from FB to try to discredit him was in all honesty, expected. You yourself, Art, suggested he take it down. He did not want to and I told him I agreed with his decision. This is a “real”, young citizen whom I hugely respect for what he has stepped up to do. As for his email…at least he didn’t try to hide it like the GOP chairman did! I know that John Bennett passed around emails exposing committee members who signed petitions for these challengers. He did it to ostracize them. That is from someone who is supposedly a respected person. I would bet you wouldn’t find Halloween pics on his FB page …God forbid they act like “real” people. So, good for you for finding this picture of a 34 year old man having fun on Halloween and congrats for having some flunky pass you the email from Ed. I am sure this means he should step aside. I am sure this means that he is not worthy of being a Freeholder. In reality, I would rather have ANY of the courageous people that stepped up to try to fix what is most certainly broken. And in case you don’t think it’s broken…..according to the hundreds of people we talk to, it is broken…oh, it is very, very broken. So, everyone close your mouths, get your jaw back together, stop gasping and accept that a 34 year old, conservative, tea partier who dresses up for Halloween and has a few beers with buddies just may be your next Freeholder. I say AMEN to that!

    Barb,

Of course it was expected that I would use the photo. I told Pekarsky three weeks ago I would use it if he didn’t remove it. I copied it while writing this post.

What part of what this young man said do you disagree with?

  5. Art Gallagher said at 10:55 pm on April 29th, 2013:

    Tommy,

He has not clue about the office he is seeking or what the words he says/writes mean.

  6. Barbara said at 10:55 pm on April 29th, 2013:

You could have used another picture, but that’s okay. I agreed with him then, and I agree with him now. I think his email was fine and I see nothing wrong with what he did. You used that picture on purpose, and he pretty much indirectly said up yours to taking it down before you used it and again, I agree. Good for you Ed. Stay true to yourself no matter what.

My group of republicans stand for a STRONG reduction in government spending levels

He’s running for Freeholder, and the current Board that he’s running against actually decreased the county budget.

  11. Politicalpony said at 11:25 pm on April 29th, 2013:

Art, just because you gave him “warning” to take it down and he didn’t still didn’t mean you needed to use it. We all know full well you could have lifted another picture of him. Heck, ever see him in a suit? He looks pretty darn good in one. I wonder what Kyrillios looks like in a Tee Shirt.

Middletowner, do you live in Middletown? It’s a big town. I live in Middletown and I never seen your ass around here before. My Grand Daddy built his home here with his own 2 hands back in 1955-56. Got sumptin more you wanna say?

Oh and hey! The Freeholders cut spending? Well whippy Doo! Well it just ain’t enough. They spend more by accident on crap than you can shake a stick at. I wonder how much they piss away, yep I said (Piss away) on the county park system with man power and equipment. Not to mention all the property they buy up with tax payer dollars. And what does this do for the people? Tennis courts? Arts and Crafts? How about hiking trails made of Black Top and Concrete? How about the property they leased to purchase over at the fort for a pool that most residents will never use? Every see some of the pickup trucks they have with 100’s of thousands of dollars tied up into them? They let them run idle all day along the road while 4 men weed whack along the roads between the guard rails and the woods! a Boom truck, another straight job semi and 2 pick up trucks worth $35,000 each before another $10-15,000 worth of equipment hung off them with 7 men, 4 of which stand around and do nothing except watch, just to take a tree down!

They haven’t cut enough and if they budget like our Federal Government… well you know what thats all about. But the question is, do you even care? Or are you just worried about who’s rubbing who’s… yea I mean palm.

Hey, how does everyone feel about Muslims taking over the country? Are you ready to be enslaved or are you willing to die for your freedom?

Stupid RINO’s, you’ll be wishing you helped us instead of fighting us every step of the way. Who’s gonna save you when it all comes down?

    Art,

I appreciate you lifting a picture from my facebook at a Halloween party from a couple years back.

I also appreciate that you painted me as some loud mouth. If that gets hits to your blog and reader-ship up, so be it, im all about capitalism and you obviously found a niche.

However, for the sake of journalistic honesty and integrity, I hope you do post excerpts of the vicious email I got in reply from political strategist and campaign manager, Tom Fitzsimmons ,where im described as a “whiny bitch and tea party martyr” not able to make my own decisions.

Also for the sake of journalistic honesty and integrity, you can lift a picture of me dressed in normal attire introducing me to your readership as a patriotic conservative without the biased slant.

By the way, I have written a reply to Mr. Fitzsimmons vicious email. And I can directly respond to it on your blog if you would be willing to print his email.

    Thanks Art for the support

    Regards

    Edward Pekarsky

God Bless Ed Pekarsky, and the rest of our Republicans 4 Conservative Leadership team who, along with Tea Party Approved and Constitutionally Certified candiate for Governor Seth Grossman, will defeat the RINO bosses and political hacks on primary day. The Tea Parties are united behind their candidates, and when Seth Grossman defeats Chris Christie for the GOP nomination for Governor the country club RINO elites will choke on their oysters and spit up caviar when they hear the results.

You’re welcome, Ed, about the photo.

Since you didn’t remove the photo from your facebook page after almost four weeks, and since you didn’t change your privacy settings so that I couldn’t access it, I figured that must be the way you wanted to be presented. I really don’t understand what Barbara and Phil are all upset about.

Tom and others have suggested I publish his response to you. Since there is so much agreement, I will do that later today.

  17. What Ed Doesn't Understand said at 8:47 am on April 30th, 2013:

Is that he is now a “public person,” as a candidate. And thus, the rules change for the use of things published in the public’s eye. As well, there was no copy right on the photo.

    But Middletowner says it best:

“Middletowner said at 11:02 pm on April 29th, 2013:

Now we have to draw you a picture? Come on Art, I thought you had some integrity and honesty about you. No apology necessary but how about the next time you do an article on him, you find a nice picture that represents him in a different (more professional) light. You know full well that your trying to make him out to be some nut without a clue. The man is a numbers guy professional and can look at large budgets and see what can be and needs to be cut. Give if not him, the public their due opportunity too fairly select a candidate that might find ways to bring down waistful spending and in doing so perhaps at some point lower their taxes.

This isn’t a game Art, this is peoples livelihoods. You should treat it as such. You should treat this process with more maturity and responsibility. Other wise just continue to allow a faulty system to stay at large.

    A personal and pointed rebuff.

Have You A Bad Case Of “Run On Mouth” This Morning?

First, I revert to my point above about Perkarsky being a public person, with different rules applying, and there being no copyright on the photo. Get you head out of your arse on that and go look such things up. The fool wants to post photos of himself like that on the internet, fine. That is his right to do so.

But, running for office puts himself at risk of those photos being used.

Remember Christine ODonnell’s comments about “being a witch.” Fair play. Look what happened to her.

    http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/christine-odonnell-proves-shes-even-dumber

But then, REAL candidates and campaign operatives would know this. But, you have Queen Babs running things.

You complain buying “all of that property.” You fool, those are Green Acre properties and park properties that keeps development at bay and prevents the county from being completely blacktopped over, such as some of our dismal northern counties.

You complain about all of those county vehicles. Those county vehicles and the parks are reasons why Monmouth County is such a desirable county to move in to, drawing people in to pay the tax base and keep it low. It’s a balancing act.

I would like to know Ed’s QUALIFICATIONS to run County Government other than him being some sort of narcissistic “patriot.,”

And then, you go off on a wild tangent; persecuting EVERY Muslim who wants to live a good life and are not terrorists.

You are one very sick puppy. VERY sick.

    Phil,

Ed’s other pictures are not much better, but I will use another one if I write about him in the future.

Your reaction and that of Barbara remain puzzling given that you both witnessed me, almost four weeks ago, suggesting to Ed that he remove the photo and why. Barbara’s reaction and vulgar name calling on facebook is even more puzzling, given that she said she agreed with Ed’s decision to leave the photo on facebook.

Regarding Ed’s professionalism…I have serious concerns about that given what I have witnessed so far. He has a very high bar to aspire to, given the accomplishments, professionalism and proven records of outstanding service of Tom Arnone and Serena DiMaso.

I like Ed’s (lack of) style and don’t disagree with much of what he says.

However, IMO, he and the other “R4CL” candidates are attacking the wrong people.

I suggest, again, a look at two of the candidates in D11. Those you are opposing are NOT the problem and those you are allowing to skate without challenge are the ones who have repeatedly voted for larger government and increased regulations, including the “anti-bully” legislation, one-gun-a-month and increased government authority over private relationships (gay marriage).

My address is easy to find and I look forward to hearing from all of the candidates some more. Good luck.

Again, Ed isn’t entirely wrong, he’s just going after the wrong people and the real problems continue to skate free over freedom and liberty. Sad.

Seeing as how it looks like they are using the bulk of an e-mail list from the inception (or re-launch) of the YRs – I’d just like to say my bad and apologize to all the emails on there, even though at least a good bunch of em have to be dead links by now.

Seeing as how I too was once a YR when the re-launch happened – I can say I think I met Ed once, maybe twice. Don’t remember money being involved, but it’s possible there was some (probably minimal) moving of funds from the old old defunct YRs (that Declan was a part of) to the newer inception – which has stayed strong throughout the years. Other then that Ed disappeared – maybe he was so angry at the moderates that he didn’t want to be involved in a group that doesn’t take sides in the primaries. Kinda silly if you ask me – everyone knows the YRs stay out of intra-party fights, but he still saw the opportunity to make the poor woman pay for her cc instead of bcc mistake (everyone’s been there).

Anyway to all those R..whatever folks..good luck. I was wondering if Seth Grossman even had a campaign anymore? You know it’s bad when even Steve Lonegan stays out of the race and says he’s neutral. Hope u folks check your affiliations next time…

Meanwhile, I’m just looking for the “Take me off your E-mail list option”…note to YRs – figure that out please!

The County GOP has cut spending, taxes and full time employees. So what exactly do these morons like Dead Head Ed Pekarsky want – I mean besides to be known. Leave running the County and State to educated, dedicated, honest and hard working people who have the taxpayers best interest at heart. I think that photo distracted people from the actual message. Maybe you can repost this with no picture, so people focus on the content. Like the way Ed seems to be confused about the office he’s running for. Monmouth County Freeholders reduced Government size and spending. And while they swear an oath on the Constitution, they have no say in Constitutional issues like the 2nd or 10th Amendment.

    @Pony:
Yes you’ve seen me in Middletown, as I have seen you, and I know you’re not as bad in person as you sound in these messages 🙂
But you know what I meant about Ed. Not finding him in a big town like ours, but seeing him involved in any kind of campaigning. Or is he coming out only when Republicans are challenged, and not when the Democrats are in general elections?

And is cutting funding for the Park System part of the platform? I didn’t see that in there, but if it is, such a major cost-cutting initiative should be more prominent!

Oh, and the County Freeholders really have no jurisdiction over the threat of radical Islam.
