Moran and Doherty announce they are divorcing

Maggie Moran and Matt Doherty announced on facebook this afternoon that Maggie is gay and that they are divorcing.

Moran was former Governor Jon Corzine’s Deputy Chief of Staff and is prominent Democrat strategist. Doherty is the Executive Director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and a former Belmar mayor.

The couple will continue to live together while they build a house across the street from their current home. They are co-parenting and will always be a family, Moran wrote.
