Monmouth County has 2,352 COVID-19 cases, 58 deaths on April 5, 2020
Monmouth County has 2,351 positive COVID-19 cases, according to an announcement by Freeholder Director Tom Arnone and Deputy Director Sue Kiley.
The New Jersey Department of Health reports that 58 Monmouth County residents have succumbed to the virus.
These numbers indicate an increase of 608 cases and 15 deaths since Friday, April 3.

The County is no longer accepting donations donations of PPE at Thompson Park. Anyone who still wishes to donate can contact the County Office of Emergency Management at 732-431-7400.
“We are thankful to the 24 donors who have visited the site and provided much needed supplies which are being distributed to first responders, healthcare workers and other essential workforce employees,” said Arnone. “The Donation Center was operational for 10 days and 2,294 masks, 89,900 gloves, 408 gowns/protective suits along with numerous bottles of hand sanitizer were received. We are extremely grateful to all the donors.”
