NJEA endorses DiMaso in LD13

Freeholder Gerry Scharfenberger and Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso are the GOP candidates for Assembly in LD13

The New Jersey Education Association has endorsed Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso, R-Holmdel for reelection to the General Assembly representing the 13th legislative district.

The teachers union issued a * endorsement for the second Assembly seat in the district, encouraging teachers to vote for either Freeholder Gerry Scharfenberger, R-Middletown or Barbara Singer, a Democrat and attorney who lives in Holmdel, to replace Amy Handlin the lower chamber.

For Allison Friedman, the President 0f the Aberdeen-Matawan Regional School District, there is always Jim Sage.  Friedman, a Democrat from Aberdeen and a public defender, also failed to get the teachers’ endorsement when she ran for Assembly in 2013.

The 13th legislative district is comprised of Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Fair Haven, Hazlet, Highlands,Holmdel, Keansburg, Keyport, Little Silver, Marlboro, Middletown, Monmouth Beach,Oceanport, Rumson, Sea Bright, Union Beach
