State Police Seek Public’s Help In Locating Sex Offender

The New Jersey State Police posted an appeal for public help in locating Marvin Sanders, 37, of Shrewsbury Township.  Sanders, who is known to hang out on Toms River and Manchester, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

Sanders is a black male, 5’11”, and 195 pounds. He may also go by the name of Marven or Maurice.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Office at 609-584-5000 ext. 5288.  The State Police post on facebook had a typo in the phone number and in Sanders’ name.

According to app’s Data Universe, Sanders has a 2010 conviction in Middlesex County for failure to register under Meghan’s Law,  In 2015 he was incarcerated on the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, according to Data Universe, also for failing to register as a sex offender.

If there is a public record of Sanders sexual offense, conviction and what Tier offender he is, we couldn’t find it and the Troopers we spoke to at the NJSP Public Information Office and in Shrewbury did not know.  He does not appear on the NJSP sex offender website or on the Department of Corrections website.

    What this place surely needs is loosened drug laws, and more legalization of drugs! We really need to reconsider mite, better, new, state- run facilities to keep some of these folks out of the General population: it really is not fair…

    What they failed to mention in this article is that he is not in the data base because this charge is 25 years old when he was a minor! His pic is not online in a data base because his tier level is low and he is not allowed to be publicaly posted. He was 12 years old when accused of this and he was a victim in foster care being molested. We are fighting for him because his civil rights were violated! Before you post an article get the facts! If anyone cares this article has caused his child to be in a pediatric psych unit .
