Law Enforcement Investigating Gun Incidents In Ocean Township

The Ocean Township Police Department is investigating a report of a man armed with a gun in the area of Elberon Blvd and Roosevelt Ave, according to an announcement from the department late on Sunday night.

The call came is at approximately 5 pm on Sunday, the announcement said.  The “caller/victim” was located safe and uninjured and no injuries have been reported in the area. The OTPD, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

Sunday’s report follows an announcement on Friday morning of gunfire in the Township  on Thursday evening.

OTPD officers responded to a shots fired report on Logan Road and Madison Ave at approximately 6:10 pm on Thursday. One shot was found to have hit a Madison Ave house and shell casings were recovered in the area.  No injuries were reported.
