Arrest Made in Middletown Stabbing

Correction, Feb 19, 2019 10:50 a.m.

Det. Lt. Paul Bailey, the public information officer for the Middletown PD, told MMM that Bland did not stab two people as we previously reported.  One person was stabbed and the other was the victim of a simple assault, Bailey said.

Brennan C. Bland

Brennan C. Bland, 27, has been arrest by Middletown Police and charged with stabbing two people in McMahon Park on Friday afternoon, according to an announcement from the Middletown PD.

Bland is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and terroristic threats.   He is in the custody of the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold.

A Friday, February 15 at about 4:28 p.m. County dispatch received at least three calls reporting an altercation in McMahon Park in North Middletown.  The first call indicated that two adult males were involved in  fight. A second call reported juveniles fighting and a third caller stated the incident involved a stabbing and all parties had left the scene.

Middletown Police Officers arrived on the scene at 4:32 p.m.  and confirmed that the fight involved a stabbing and one of the victims had left the scene prior to the arrival of police.  A second victim, who sustained minor injuries, was located on scene, provided medical attention for his injuries.  He refused transport.  Information was obtained regarding the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle.

Ptl. Ryan Maguire located Bland and placed him under arrest within minutes.

The victim who had left the scene was located, treated and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of a non-life threatening stab wound to the torso.

Anyone with additional information about the incident is asked to contact Det. Adam Colfer at (732) 615-2120.

This story is a classic when one party is accused of something while the gang of others in this fight, walk away like they weren’t the ones who approached Mr. Bland while with his toddlers and his girlfriend. Simple, family went to spend a nightly playtime in the park with his children and is then approached by his cousin Bobo Bland who wanted to fight over $35. After handing the baby over to his girlfriend to put kids in car he is jumped by a bunch of hood rats. While his girlfriend and kids are in the car (babies screaming, girlfriend crying scared to death) he is dragged out of the van and beat. After being able to get away and back into car they are then blocked from driving away. How can someone be accused of doing something when nothing was found to support the statements from others? Hear say? Then why is only one person arrested when protocol is all parties involved to be arrested until determination is complete. Where is the weapon? There isn’t any! Just a shady family member trying to ruin a rehabilitated person who is moving on to better himself for his family. Now there are additional threats being made to his girlfriend who is scared for her and her children’s safety for something she had nothing to do with nor wants to be around. She approached police to file a restraining order after a public threat was posted and was told they weren’t even going to file a report until after the holiday. What are the police going to do to protect this women and her children.? Nothing! Mr. Bland was approached and is the victim yet is being held in jail while no one else is being held accountable for the ambush. No weapon, no evidence other than statements and a wound that could have happened after Mr. Bland went home to frame him. This is ridiculous and now an innocent women has no vehicle after police confiscated it for evdience. She has no way to get to a store for baby diapers, formula, food etc. what about her job? I guess it is ok for her to sit and wait for others to enjoy their paid Presidents Day off while other are struggling to make ends meats.
Look at all sides of the story and lock someone else up for being involved. Absolutely absurd.

Cops are crooked, preppy white boys from Keansburg High School (Liam riecks , gavyn read , and more) sticking up for their drug dealer Bobo Gomez whom lives In Tinton Falls. Bobo Gomez was upset he lost the fight and stabbed himself and framed Brennan. Truth prevails karma is real. GOD sees everything remember that.
