Fireworks mishap injures two in Sea Bright

Two people suffered minor injuries on Friday night due to errant rockets during a fireworks display at the Chapel Beach Club in Sea Bright, according to sources familiar with the incident.

The video obtained by MMM shows a rocket hitting a structure at the beach club and another hitting the ground on the beach south of the club while men can be heard screaming.

A Sea Bright official who asked not to be named confirmed that Chapel Beach Club obtained permits for the fireworks display. The Sea Bright Police Department did not respond to our inquiry for additional information. Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor, said that their office had not been informed of the incident as of Saturday afternoon.
