Shot Fired in Middletown, 1 Dead —“Not a criminal matter”

Middletown Police are in the mist of an active investigation into a shooting death on Rutledge Dr, in Middletown this morning.

Lt. Paul Bailey, spokesman for the Middletown PD confirmed the incident is being investigated.  Bailey said the shooting is not believed to be a criminal matter.  He declined to confirm that the shooting is a suicide.
