Middletown Police: No weapons found at Middletown North student’s home, threat not credible

The Middletown Police Department and the Middletown School District issued a statement on Wednesday night informing parents, faculty and students at High School North that a video was posted on Snapchat Tuesday night has been investigated and deemed to be “non-credible.”

A High School North student posted a video on Snapchat of 38 bullets.

The student also posted the photo to the left.

MoreMonmouthMusings has learned that the Middletown PD searched the student’s home on Tuesday night and that there were no weapons or ammunition present.

Police met with the student, parent and the school officials on Wednesday.  The student was taken to Monmouth Medical Center for evaluation and has been suspended from school.

Lt. Paul Bailey, spokesman for the Middletown PD, told MoreMonmouthMusings  that there is no truth to the rumors that there were 6 or 7 other students involved in the video threat.

School will be in session at MHSN on Thursday.
