The management of an internet live porn and dating site has offered Senator Ted Cruz up to $169,000 per year to appear weekly on the site for one hour to “discuss an assortment of topics” including the senator’s alleged affinity for porn “and other issues pertinent to Americans today.”  The site, CamSoda, also offered Cruz a lifetime membership.

The offer from Darren Press, VP of CamSoda, follows the news of a hardcore video being “liked” by Cruz’s official twitter account.

TMZ reports that Cruz’s Sr. Communications Adviser, Catherine Frazier, said that Cruz himself did not “like” the video and that it has been removed from the senator’s feed. “The offensive tweet posted on @Tedcruz account earlier has been removed by staff and reported to Twitter,” TMZ reports that Frazier said.

Yet another reminder for politicians of both parties and their social media managers to be extra careful.  Your opponents are watching and you never know when you’ll get yourself into a hot mess.

Vin Gopal, Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg and Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey condemned facebook’s hot mess chicken as sexist

that politicians thought it was a great idea to engage so much on social media. ( aka the ” lazy- man’s campaigning method”) One more thing to manage and monitor, for trolls and evil- doers! I now believe the detriments far outweigh the benefits of this way of communicating with supposed “voters! “- many of whom are not even registered, or don’t vote, anyway!
