Christie Coming Home to Make New Jerseyans Feel Safe and Secure

BacktoNH_12216Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to brief the press on the State’s storm preparedness from a Department of Transportation garage in Newark (New Jersey) this evening at 8 p.m.

Christie, seemingly put-upon, told a town hall gathering in New Hampshire that he is returning to New Jersey ” …to make sure that the people of my state feel safe and secure and know that despite the fact that I’ve been on the phone seven or eight times in the past two days to get updates from the National Weather Service and to lay out the plans for how we’re going to deploy resources, talk to the National Guard, talk to the Department of Transportation, talk to the Department of Environmental Protection, make sure everybody knows what they’re doing, they’ll feel better if I’m there. So I’m going to go back this afternoon. …”

Christie’s office didn’t know if his press briefing would be livestreamed when we called them this afternoon. They said it would be covered by all of the New York television stations. Those of you hoping to watch Undercover Boss will have to settle for the governor.

If the briefing is livestreamed, you can watch it here:
