With the enormous emotional reaction to the tragic death of Tamara Seidle at the hands of her ex-husband, Neptune Township Police Sgt. Philip Seidle, there is the unfortunate reality that fraudsters may try to raise money in the name of the family.

MMM has verified that the Seidle family has sanctioned the following efforts and will reap the benefits of the community’s generosity through the following avenues:

A gofundme page has been set up by Ian Nugent with the consent of the family.  Donations can be made online via the site here.

The Angel Fund at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Ocean Grove is accepting donations for the family. Donations made to the Angel Fund should be earmarked for the Seidle family.

Mother of Mercy Parish in Asbury Park is accepting donations for the family.  Tamara was the coordinator of religious education at the parish and a life-long member of the Catholic Community in Asbury Park.

The parish is holding a prayer service tonight for the repose of the soul of Tamara Seidle, the healing and protection of her children and loved ones, and all those who have been affected by this terrible tragedy.  The prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 1201 Asbury Avenue in Asbury Park.  Counseling services will be made available following the service.
