Brian R. Farmer’s mugshot taken August 6, 2014, one week after the murders of Joan Colbert and Veronica Roach, for which he is accused.

The man accused of murdering Joan Colbert and her 10 year old foster daughter, Veronica Roach, in their Long Branch home on July 30, visited the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office one week after the murder occurred, as part of his mandated monitoring as a registered sex offender.

Brian R. Farmer was convicted in 1996 of aggravated assault for engaging in sexual penetration of a 15 year old girl while he was armed with a knife.  Farmer confined the victim and her mother for three days, keeping them tied up.  The victims escaped and Farmer burned down their house, according to the New Jersey State Police Registry of Sex Offenders.

Farmer was arrested early this morning for murders of Colbert and Roach. He was additionally charged with first, second and third degree Endangering  the Welfare of a Child.  Photos of Farmer engaging in a sex act with the 10 year old Roach were found on his phone.

Sex offenders are monitored by the County Prosecutor’s Offices of the county where they reside, according to State Police Information Officer, Trooper Jeff Flynn.  As part of that monitoring, their photos are updated periodically for the Sex Offenders Directory.

Farmer’s most recent mugshot was taken on August 6, 2014, one week after the July 30th murders occurred.

Farmer’s address as listed on the Sex Offender Directory is 701 Memorial Drive in Asbury Park.  His address according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s press release announcing his arrest today is 104 John Street in Long Branch.  His address as of this morning is 1 Waterworks Rd, Freehold Township, the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where he is being held on $2.5 million cash bail.

Are you kidding me? This guy kidnapped (held in confinement) two people for 3 days, raped a minor at knife point – a statuatory first degree rape in the state of NJ – and he’s out of prison after less than 18 years? And around a child? By himself? The only thing prison does for predators like this guy is teach them not to leave live witnesses the next time. There is NO evidence that you can rehabilitate someone like this and no excuse for allowing him to endanger society ever.

The average sex offender commits over 20 offenses for each one of which he’s accused. When are we going to get over the idea that people with this paraphilia are a danger and stop letting them back out?

Grace – Look at what happened in Hawthorne (Passaic). Last weekend, a 48 year old guy drove his pickup truck thru a barricade, into a busy farmers’ market, hitting 3 people. He dragged one woman 1/2 a mile to her death. Now it comes out that he has 20 motor vehicle violations on his record, including 5 license suspensions. Some people don’t change; they shouldn’t be out where they can harm others again.

Why isn’t Al Sharpton protesting this?

Throw away the key and have him stand in front of a 21 gun salute firing squad! Let him feel fear first, then shoot. This is not even going to come to represent the pain that his victims were in. Blessings and prayers for those who can’t speak for themselves who suffered at the hands of this criminal. Lets fight for them and all of us living here. My heart goes out to relatives and friends of Veronica Roach and Joan Colbert.

Hey Proud, have you ever noticed that when you hit one of their soft spots, nameless liberals come out of the wood work, frothing at the mouth with personal attacks?

Please keep it up, because it proves how cowardly they are because they always revert to one of the points listed in this article:

@JIM you think this is something to make jokes about I don’t. Love that you go to right-wing sites to make your point

  9. @ DEM said at 10:31 am on August 19th, 2014:

If the shoe fits, wear it. You’re the one making personal attacks, not me. You’re the coward that attacks people anonymously.

No, this isn’t something to make fun of. Convicted pedophiles should be put to death if you ask me. But liberals don’t support the death penalty even for something as vile as this. So, if you want to get serious about such a matter, support the death penalty for cases like this.

But it is right on point that Proud makes a comment about the hypocrisy of his own race being killed by a member of his own race because all Al Sharpton is about is race baiting.

He really doesn’t give one whoot about his own community.

As well, I go to sites with FACTS vs. liberal sites with revisionist history. OH SNAP. That hurts your position, doesn’t it?

Besides, I thought you were “done with me.” If so, begone already.
