Why would you say that, when he is only turning to a constituency that should support him? I say it is a brilliant, and low cost move.

Let’s not forget that Lonegan has a freight train of political and personal baggage following him wherever he goes; there are many Conservatives who are inclined to stay home on October 16.
That he has to actively court a segment of his own base that ordinarily should turn out in droves to vote for him is a clear sign that he is desperate.
And Booker has his own political baggage, growing by the day, as well as a base that may just not remember that there is a special election 3 weeks before the regular one.
So, what? You try and you do the best you can with whatever ammunition you have.
