As the numbers come in, the incumbents continue to dominate
With 9% of the precincts reporting in LD 13, Senator Joe Kyrillos and Assembly Members Amy Handlin and Declan O’Scanlon are leading with 80% of the vote.
In the County race from Sheriff and Freeholder, Sheriff Shaun Golden has over 82% of the vote with 17% of the precincts reporting. Freeholder Director Tom Arnone and Deputy Director Serena DiMaso also exceed 80% of the vote.
This where I am going to differ from our Chairman, John Bennett.
John, you are doing a good job.
But this is where I believe that we need to draw a line, especially with the dirty tricks robo call this morning.
I see no reason why the MCRO should “kiss and make up.” This is what happens to Republicans on the National Stage where we reach out to Democrats and get our hands chopped off by those that we reach out to.
This challenge should not have happened, and that it happened with the lies and horse manure that was thrown around by the BSTPG is very telling. THEY walked away from the rules of running candidates at the convention instead of addressing issues.
The BSTPG is a small, VERY small cross section of the conservative electorate. We don’t need people like that to give us a bad face. For what I found, they are insulting.
Dozens of conservatives came to help the MCRO. Let not their work be diminished by reaching out to those that seemingly wanted to slit our throats.
No, we don’t have to come down on them like a ton of bricks. However, if they want to do business with us, let THEM come to you. I suspect however, they won’t want to come to you unless they want more attention. Is it worth it?
But again, Barbara Gonzalez should resign her board seat. She was duplicitous and can not be trusted.
For what it’s worth, one man’s opinion.
