Accepting the Medicaid expansion was a no brainer and is good for NJ residents. Glad to see simple math winning out over ideology.
Christie joins Rick Scott of Florida, Rick Snyder of Michigan, John Kasich of Ohio, Jan Brewer of Arizona, Brian Sandoval of Nevada, Susana Martinez of New Mexico, and Jack Dalrymple of North Dakota in endorsing the Medicaid expansion.
And who will pay for it after the national government stops subsidizing it at 100%??? Or don’t people think beyond the expiration of their term in office?
As usual, we’ll pay, estimates now are at $20,000 per family of 5, plus more taxes and less care,to cover the rest. Texas, where Gov. Perry has stood fast, seems to be one of the last bastions of sanity in this country.

Sorry Bob…you are completely fantasizing about it actually helping people in the long run. Research the damage socialized medicine has caused to the infrastructure of foreign nations.
The Health System does need to be reformed extensively, but this is going to cause serious problems.
Now we are penalized by the government for “not” having or doing something. Does no one else see the implications of this…it sets a precedent well beyond healthcare.

@ Bob,
The government would be better off just giving the money they are spending on Obamacare, DIRECTLY to those people in need of insurance.
This way, they make their own choices; FSA accounts, buying insurance across state lines which increases competition and decreases prices.
Why create a bureaucracy that eats up the money? And since it is gubmint money, THEN I see a narrow window of being able to mandate what people do with it. But create choice with it, not force people into a system that will ultimately fail them since that’s what gubmint does.

the up-front infusion of money basically to balance their budgets now, to make themselves look ok, because the ever-expanding Medicaid bills for the non-payers and us all come due after they leave office- another example of me-now, selfish political self-interest and preservation class we now deal with on all levels.. Kudos to Gov. Walker and the few brave Gov’s. who said no..the decimation of federalism/ i.e., states’ rights, is just another way this admin. in DC is “fundamentalyy changing the foundation of America”- read: destroying us and our way of life!! I guess that he made the decision that he does not want to become President.
