You are aware the Superstorm Sandy appropriation may be subject to the sequestration. With the exempt parts of the budget excluded, and considering 5 months of the FY has elapsed, you are looking at a cut of 85 billion out of about 650 Billion from March 1 to September 30. This of course can be modified by Congress when the continuing appropriation must be enacted by 3/27/13.

If the sequestration proceeds, essentially, Social Security, Medicare and welfare entitlements are protected. Also, the Military personnel and DVA are protected.

An example of the budget subject to the cuts are:

law enforcement, food safety inspections, medical research, aid to states not tied to an exempt program, and salaries of the employees regardless if the program they work for is exempt from a cut.

some $15 billion more than last year, and still get this situation with such minute cuts, that are warranted, but which few will even feel, if we are ever to get near balancing any budget, is another ploy to keep on printing money and peeing it away,on ever-encroaching government dependency. This “sky is falling” mentality this guy is always putting forward,is both fallacious and morally wrong. Am sick of it, and him! How we survive another 4 years of this debacle is beyond me. It all comes down to the Congressional elections next year: if we don’t hold at least one house, 1984 and Armageddon won’t be far away!
