Never the same, Never forget

The weather was wonderful on Sunday, much as it was on September 11, 2001.

As I gazed over to New York and noticed the Freedom Tower in the distance, I turned to my friend and said, “it is just not the same.”

Life will never be the same for those who lost husbands or wives, brothers or sisters, aunts or uncles, friends and lovers that day.  Life will not be the same for those who fled lower Manhattan to physical safety but still bear the psychological and emotions scars.

Life will never be the same for the families of the first responders who perished that day, or have perished since or are still hanging on, due to poisonous air that guaranteed a slow death.

Life with never be the same for the young men and women who have served bravely in Afghanistan and Iraq, even if they came home unharmed physically.  Life will never be the same for their families.

Life will never be the same for a nation that has traded freedom and privacy for security.

“Life will never be the same” … “Never forget” … “Life goes on” …

Jesus. Is someone giving out awards today for being particularly trite and hackneyed?

I love you, Art, but my 8th grade daughter writes compositions less cliche-ridden than what was written above. My advice: Don’t use any words next year for your 9-11 post. Use a single picture of grave instead. Trust me.

that today’s news said they have finally worked out an agreement to get that 9-11 Museum completed: if you saw the special on the painstaking work that has been done by the Port Authority and the historical committee, it will be an apt and valid historical record, and beautiful remembrance, of a time we want never to repeat..we all need to pay attention, make our electeds pay better attention, be ever- vigilant, and pray for the safety and security of our nation!

But this is an act of war technically, invading sovereign American soil in two places and killing one of our own.

This is the way Libya repays us?

This is why Obama has got to go. He has no handle on this, is naive about what Islamic Terrorists want, yet he was happy to see the Arab Spring.

Yeah, right, NASA reaching out to the Muslim world. I am so spitting mad today.

    WHERE IS OUR PRESIDENT?

That would be sympathizing with the Islamist Extremists, instead of condemning the attacks. NOT ONE WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
