A Statement From Art Gallagher

As I am sure all my readers are now
aware I was arrested late Friday evening on a warrant issued out of the State
of Delaware.  On the advice of my attorney I can not
discuss the charges against me at this time other then to say that they are
vigorously contested and that I did not commit theft.  Right now I am concentrating on securing my
release from jail so that I can properly address these charges through my
attorneys.

When I am released I intend to
write about my experiences of the last few days.

I thank all of you who have
expressed concern for me and my family and I assure you that we are doing fine
given these difficult circumstances.

    I think it is entirely appropriate for this blog site’s advertisers to question whether they want to remain associated with Art Gallagher.

    From a blogger in Middletown, I recently read that Art Gallagher uses the N-word often, something that Art Gallagher himself admits doing (see links below). Indeed, this blogger goes on to suggest that The Courier newspaper once dropped Art Gallagher’s weekly column because of Art’s racist and inappropriate use of that vile word. This blogger also goes on to talk about Art Gallagher’s unsavory & unethical business dealings. (And not just those cases where civil judgments were entered against Art Gallagher’s company, Gallco.)

    In the link immediately above, Art Gallagher himself admits to using the N-word. Indeed, Art Gallagher goes on to say:

    “I have used the N-word in a controversial fashion, but not in a racist fashion.” — Art Gallagher

    WTF???

    With that being the case, why would politicians like Mike Halfacre, Diane Gooch, and Scott Sipprelle (among others) advertise on a bigot’s website? Why would they advertise on this web site? Mike Halfacre, do you think that it is appropriate for Art Gallagher to use the N-word in “a controversial fashion?” Why are you supporting this bigot with your advertising dollars?

    Why didn’t Diane Gooch and Scott Sipprelle do a simple Google search about Art Gallagher before advertising on his blog site? The same can be said for anyone else that advertises on this blog site. Ever hear of the term due diligence?

    I used to respect Art Gallagher. Now that I’ve gotten to see what sort of character this man has, the less I like him. I certainly don’t respect him. I’m also no longer surprised to see that he is facing felony criminal charges. Indeed, I think Heraclitus summed it up best when he said that “a man’s character is his fate.”

    Shame on those who support Art Gallagher or his blog site.

    Yep! Thats Standard Operating Procedure for Art’s Blog. Delete anything contrary to what he wants everyone to believe. Yep! Delete the incriminating information! Sorry, if people were “outragous” enough to point out that Gallagher has been involved in this kind of activity before. How dare they! I mean, its only a matter of public record at this point.
    Anyone advertising or associated with Gallagher should run for the hills. Both Mayor Nolan of Highlands, and former Mayor and Councilman O’Neil who had campaign signs all over their properties for Gallagher for Highlands Council have now taken them down. What does that tell you?
    Bottom line is that Gallagher has shown no mercy for those he has smeared in the past, and those he has relentlessly persued. Karma indeed! What goes around, comes around dudnt it?

    Your real brave going after a person when they can’t defend themselves!

    And why would people want to advertise on this site? The same reason why anyone advertises anywhere, where people see their ads! And those ads are getting viewed and clicked here!

    1) If you don’t like it here, no one is forcing you to remain, as far as the eye can see.

    2) If you think that you can run a blog better, give it a try and we’ll see how it fares in readership, coverage and influence.

    Why the vitriol? It was my Board that did the digging and simply supplied information – you know, the details that hadn’t been posted until they were disclosed on my website (along with a link to the source of the news).

    Was it that it was a legitimate news source I provided (before the APP story BTW. Talk about things that make you go hmmm) rather than the lunatic frothings of some “blogger” that got ya’alls knickers in a twist?

    And yes, you seem to be taking advantage of Art’s misfortunes in order to try and build some name for yourself. To do so on via someone else’s blog is among the lowest of the low.
