Middletown Democrat Thugs Vandalize Election Signs

By Chris Fotache, Cross-posted from Right In Jersey
By now, we’re used to the regular election sign wars in Middletown: signs being stolen, moved or taken down. It usually happens to Republican signs, and an active member of the Democrat executive committee was arrested and subjected to a fine a couple of years ago, after being caught in the act.

But this year, the sleazy Midddletown Democrat thugs are using new tactics. After taking down at least one 4×4 board sign, since last Friday night they started spraying those 4x4s with grafitti. It happened almost every night for the past 4-5 days, and some of those hoodlums are even tagging them with gang signs. You can see this happening on Tindall Rd, East Rd, Leonardville Rd and other places.

Maybe it’s time for Joe Caliendo to remind his thugs that this is not Hudson or Union county, and this kind of gang vandalism is not welcome in Middletown. Or maybe the local committee people would know more. Most of the thuggery occurred in District 23 (Thomas Mahon and Annaliesa Meloro). It was also seen in the neighboring districts, 13 (Steven Borbely and Lynda Cordasco) and 34 (Peter Geronimo and Mary Yule).

Below you can see an example of this new type of Democrat vandalism.

That is disgusting – anyone caught doing that should be removed from their party post immediately.

Instead, they reward these low lifes with positions within the party. Remember Don Watson?

    Oh please,

Is this the best that the Middeltown GOP can come up with, thuggery and gang signs? They can’t run on their record of raising taxes by 45% in 5 years so they have to make up an issue. Good luck with that.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if these signs were spray painted by members of the Middletown Republicans in order to cause faint outrage.

No one connected to the Middletown Democrats spray painted any signs and for the record, NO member of the Middletown Democrats has ever been convicted for stealing signs or made to pay a fine for such an incident. All charges were dropped with no admission of guilt.

Oh Please Mike. All charges were dropped but that doesn’t mean he was caught? You have no just elevated yourself as the biggest Democrat party hack in the state. You’ve just passed your pal Gopal for the top spot.

According to the Middletown police, the charges were plea bargained down to a fine and court costs. Imagine being a Democrat and having to defend a fellow Democrat who was arrested for stealing signs and lying to the cops? While you’re in the mood to defend, how about the statement that the township committee doubled its salary when it hadn’t been increased in 25 years? Or the claim that township committee members received cash in lieu of health benefits when that never happened? Or the real doozy – last year’s whacked out claim that the Republicans blackmailed Steve Masell into running for office by threatening his brother’s job? Only pathetic, desperate hacks could spew such lies and expect people to believe it. You Democrats show how little respect you have for the intelligence of the Middletown voter when you put out the most bizarre, wild claims and expect people to blindly follow your BS. You would be better off trying to figure out a way to get a new picture of you and Menendez, or Pallone, or Holt – while they are still in office!

Sorry Mike, but most people associate grafitti and sprayed logos with gangs, Newark, Camden and drug-infested neighborhoods. If this was an aspiring local artist, he should come out though.

Speaking of… is this the best that the Middletown Dems can come up with? Tagging Republican signs?

Such hatred from a proud republican, he must be feeling the heat from 6 years worth of tax increases under Scharfenberger and his buddies.

When you can’t run on a positive record what else is left but to name call and make up false issues?

Signs dissappear all the time. There usually taken by the town, county or state but when that doesn’t explain it then kids are blamed. No one ever admitts that over zealous R’s, D’s or I’s are to blame because it is always easier to blame the other guys.

I agree with MM, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if members of the Middeltown Republicans defaced their own signs just to spark a campaign issue.

No one really cares if signs are defaced or stolen other than those in the base of the parties who’s signs get defaced or stolen. The average voter could care less!

DR – why don’t you respond directly to the statements in my post? They are facts. Why not address them? I’ll save you the trouble, you can’t.

    Art,

Point #1 – I hope you’re not implying that I had something to do with this.

Point #2 – I would hope that in the future, you would have the good graces to focus on real issues in middletown such as +13% tax increase for the delayed middletown budget. I would right more, but I’m at work.
