Christie Coming Home to Make New Jerseyans Feel Safe and Secure
Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to brief the press on the State’s storm preparedness from a Department of Transportation garage in Newark (New Jersey) this evening at 8 p.m.
Christie, seemingly put-upon, told a town hall gathering in New Hampshire that he is returning to New Jersey ” …to make sure that the people of my state feel safe and secure and know that despite the fact that I’ve been on the phone seven or eight times in the past two days to get updates from the National Weather Service and to lay out the plans for how we’re going to deploy resources, talk to the National Guard, talk to the Department of Transportation, talk to the Department of Environmental Protection, make sure everybody knows what they’re doing, they’ll feel better if I’m there. So I’m going to go back this afternoon. …”
