Assemblyman Joseph Cyran, the former Democratic State Chairman, used the computers of his legislative office and computers of the Union County Sheriff’s Office where he is employed as an undersheriff to exchange sexually explicit emails with a woman he repeatedly denied being involved with, according to a New York Post report.

In the emails, which can be viewed here, Cryan and Karen Golding, a former Corzine staffer and a lobbyist, read like cyber foreplay. The couple wrote graphic details, during work hours, of what they will do to each other in coming trysts. Cryan frequently describes his state of arousal and on at least one occassion invited Golding to his legislative office for a sexual encounter on his desk. “Surprise visits are welcome”, Cryan wrote in addition to the specific invitation for the desktop encounter.

The emails are part of a pleading in Morris County Superior Court wherein Golding argues for a sentance reduction for her conviction for stalking Cryan after their relationship ended.   The NYPost says that Cryan has fought for years to keep the emails from becoming public.

Media Glare Shining On Monmouth County Court

Monmouth County’s Court is likely to get a great deal of media attention this week…and not because of the contaminants that forced the closure of the Courthouse.

The New York Post picked up the story of Rachel Alintoff’s complaints about the way Judge Paul Escandon is handling her divorce that MMM first reported on May 9.   Nine other women have come forward for the Post’s story, including one woman who fears losing any contact with her children after Escandon altered a custody agreement that had been in place for five years, thereby granting custodial rights to her mobster ex-husband who she fears will end up in the witness protection program or worse.

Alintoff told MMM  that national television media outlets are calling her and the other women about their stories.  She expects the women’s story to be featured on at least one network morning show this week.

$500 Million In State Revenues Projected From New Racino

New York State, that is.

A new “racino” with only electronic gambling is set to open next month at Aqueduct Racetrack in Jamaica, NY.  The facility is expected to generate $10 billion in annual betting, $500 million in annual revenue to the State of New York, and 1300 jobs.  The $10 billion bet at Aqueduct will top the $7 billion annual handle at the Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway.

So says today’s New York Post.

The Meadowlands Racetrack is closer to Mid-town Manhattan than Jamaica or Yonkers.

Would someone tell me again why New Jersey is leaving all of that money “on the table?”
