Dylan Rieger, the 27 year old Belford resident who allegedly struck and killed John and Barbara Grogan of Atlantic Highlands on Route 36 on Friday night, has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving in connection with the incident, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced.
The Grogans were attempting to cross the intersection from the northbound direction of State Highway 36 and Grand Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m. Friday evening, when they were struck by an eastbound 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, driven by Rieger.

Route 36 and Grand Ave, Atlantic Highlands
John Grogan, 60, and his wife Barbara Grogan, 59, were stuck and killed by a motor vehicle on Route 36 in their hometown of Atlantic Highlands on Friday evening, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
According to Gramiccioni’s announcement, the Grogans were attempting to cross Route 36 at the intersection of Grand Ave. when they were struck by a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, driven by Dylan Rieger, 27, of Belford.

Earl “Everlasting” Sanders of Neptune City was shot and killed while driving on Route 18 in Colts Neck last April 29 while driving home from a birthday party at the Freehold Elks Club.
His killer remains at large and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office along with the Colts Neck Police Department and Monmouth Crime Stoppers are asking the public’s support in solving the case.

Jonathan McDermott
Jonathan McDermott, 38, of Aberdeen Township, was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a minor on Friday. Superior Court Judge Richard W. English imposed the sentence which requires that he serve the full term, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
McDermott pleaded guilty on October 15, 2018, admitting that over an almost two year period between June of 2015 and April of 2017 he committed numerous sexual acts upon a female child who was under 13 years old.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is asking witnesses to an early Monday morning traffic fatality in Hazlet to come forward and assist in their investigation.
Robert Pisano, 54, of Neptune, was walking in the area of State Highway 36 just east of Middle Road in Hazlet at approximately 2:24 a.m. Monday morning, when he was struck by a westbound 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by John F. Hermans, of Yonkers, New York.
Pisano died as a result of his injuries. Hermans was unharmed.

NJ.com is reporting that Paul Caneiro has been charged with the murder of his brother, Keith Caneiro, Keith’s wife Jennifer and the couple’s children, Jesse and Sophia.
Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni has a press conference scheduled for 11 am this morning to update the media on the Caneiro murders which occurred last Tuesday.
Paul was charged last with aggravated arson for the fire that occurred at his own home in Ocean Township at 5:01 am in November 20. His wife and two adult daughters were in the Tilton Dr home when the fire was set.

Keith and Jennifer Caneiro
The four bodies discovered at 15 Willow Brook Road in Colts Neck yesterday were murdered prior to the fire being set on the property, according to officials speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Keith and Jennifer Canerio both died as the result of gunshot wounds, the sources said. Their young children, a son and a daughter, were both brutally stabbed to death.
Keith’s body was found outside his burning home. Jennifer and the children were found inside the home, severely burned after death.

Miguel Leal Câmara, 40, was the man arrested in connection with the shooting death that occurred yesterday afternoon on Broadway in Long Branch, according to a facebook announcement by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Aaron Davis, the Long Branch man charged with leaving River, a pit bull mix, caged on the banks of the Shrewsbury River in Highlands last month, will remain in the custody of the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending his trail, according to a social media post by the Prosecutor’s Office.
