Eatontown Councilman Mark Regan Jr owes his reelection victory to write-in votes for the losers of the Democrat primary. Eatontown’s Republican Councilman Mark Regan Jr can thank disgruntled Democrats for his reelection victory.
Regan defeated Democrat Mariel Hufnagel by 6 votes in the recounted tally completed on Monday.

In the recount of the Eatontown municipal election which took place at the Monmouth County Board of Elections office in Freehold on Monday, the numbers changed slightly but the winners of two council seats remain unchanged from original results.
