A 3.1 magnitude earthquake occurred near Freehold, NJ at about 2 am on September 9, 2020, according to USGS.

The event is considered minor. Property damage and injuries are not expected.

Did you feel the earthquake?

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred near Portland, Maine at 7:12 this evening.  It was felt in Monmouth County as a magnitude 2, according to the US Geological Survey.

We felt it in Highlands.  The USGS received reports from Middletown as well as Hoboken and Jersey City in Hudson County.
